Champions Trophy 2025 prize money revealed
KARACHI: The winners of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 will receive $2.24 million from a total prize pool of $6.9 million, the International Cricket Council announced on Friday.
According to a statement by the ICC, the runners-up of prestigious tournament will earn $1.12 million, while the losing semi-finalists will take home $560,000 each, marking a 53% increase from the 2017 edition.
Each group stage win will be worth $34,000, with teams finishing fifth and sixth receiving $350,000 each. The seventh and eighth-placed sides will earn $140,000, and all eight participating teams are guaranteed $125,000 for competing.
The tournament, the first global cricket event in Pakistan since 1996, will run from February 19 to March 9 with matches in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. India will play in Dubai.
Eight teams will compete in two groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing to the semi-finals.
ICC chairman Jay Shah said the event highlights the pinnacle of ODI cricket and emphasises the cricketing body’s commitment to investing in the sport.
