Atwan: Imam Khamenei’s promises are true promises’
Abdul Bari Atwan, editor of the trans-regional newspaper Rai al-Youm and a prominent Palestinian analyst, addressed the remarks and positions of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran against the Zionists and Americans after inflicting defeat on them in a new editorial of the newspaper, writing: “One of the most prominent and important statements in Imam Khamenei’s recent speeches was that he said that the American aggression had achieved nothing and that the American attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities had not had much effect.” He emphasized that US President Donald Trump exaggerated the results of the country’s attacks on Iran and that Washington had suffered a big slap in the face. The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran stated that the country would never surrender to the US and would respond to any US aggression by attacking its military bases in the region.

Atwan added: A review of the statements and speeches of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran over the past decades completely proves that he always tells the truth and that when he threatens, he will implement it, and his promises are true promises. Before the US aggression, Imam Khamenei had emphasized that Iran was fully prepared to respond to the American-Zionist enemy and would give a crushing response to the aggressions of both of them, and this is what happened.
Emphasizing the implementation of all the promises of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, this Palestinian analyst noted: We all witnessed that Iranian ballistic missiles passed through all the defense systems of the Zionist enemy and reached their targets in the heart of Tel Aviv, Haifa, Beersheba, Ashkelon and Ashdod. What proves that the American claims about the impact of the attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities are false are the confidential US intelligence documents, some of which were leaked by CNN. These documents prove that the damage to Iran’s nuclear facilities was minor and, contrary to Trump’s claims, would only delay the country’s nuclear program for a few years, not a few.
