PNN – Atwan, an analyst of regional strategic issues, stated in his latest article: Iran inflicted great damage on Tel Aviv during the 12-day war and did not allow the Zionists to achieve their goals in the war.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the electronic newspaper Rai al-Youm, Abdul Bari Atwan, an analyst of regional strategic issues, wrote in an article referring to the developments in the recent war between the Zionist regime and Iran and the positions of US President Donald Trump in this regard that during his 40 years of press and writing activities and following the process of political developments and wars in the world, he has never seen a president more arrogant and lying than Donald Trump.
He added that Trump always deceives people with his contradictory statements. This is while the Zionist regime has not achieved any of its goals in this war. Atwan emphasized that Trump’s nonsense and lies are not worthy of the president of a major state that claims to lead the free world.
Atwan referred to Trump’s lies and wrote: He claimed to have sought to lift sanctions against Iran and created the greatest opportunity to improve the situation in the country, but two days after the end of the war, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized that Iran had won the war and would continue to defend itself and confront its enemies, and would never surrender to the enemy.

This is while Trump’s claim to lift sanctions requires the approval of the US Congress. Moreover, it is not possible for the US government to have taken this step before the end of the Israel-Iran war and the results of this war are clear. The more important point is that Iran has not surrendered and has not accepted the US conditions.
Continuing his article, Atwan mentioned several important and strategic points regarding the 12-Day War, especially in its political or military dimensions, and added:
First, throughout the war until its end, Iran did not ask for help from any of its allied governments, including Russia, China, North Korea, or even its regional allies. This was while Israel immediately reached out to the United States, demanding its immediate intervention and attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, as well as sending hundreds of tons of military equipment, including missiles and bombs, to the occupied territories.
Second, Tehran never requested a ceasefire and continued its ballistic and hypersonic missile attacks until the very last moment of the ceasefire announcement.
Third, the United States and the Zionist regime never imagined that Iran would have such power and would have produced a massive system of highly advanced missiles that would have very powerful destructive warheads such as the Fatah, Sajjil, and Khyber. Missiles that the seven layers of American and Israeli air defenses failed to intercept and could not prevent these missiles from hitting their intended targets and destroying several Israeli cities such as Tel Aviv, Haifa, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Beersheba, and Safed.
Atwan emphasized that the images of the destruction in the buildings and towers of these cities do not lie and prove that most of these areas have become ghost towns. These images prove the lies of Trump and Netanyahu.
At the end of this article, Atwan stated that the joint aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran has changed many power equations and perhaps proved that the Middle East is on the verge of a comprehensive change that is not based on the demands of Trump and Netanyahu; but rather on the demands of the people of the region and its armies from Gaza to Iran.
