Referring to the extensive cooperation between the two countries in areas such as economy, defense, and technology, he emphasized: Our foreign trade volume is currently approaching the target of $30 billion; a goal that we have pursued with great seriousness in recent years.

Fidan stated that the two countries have made great efforts in this regard in recent years, noting that there are much broader opportunities in the field of trade and investment, and that updating the free trade agreement is necessary to further develop these relations.

The Turkish Foreign Minister stated that in the field of foreign policy, the views of Turkey and the United Kingdom on issues such as Gaza, Syria, Iran, Iraq, and the Russia-Ukraine war are almost aligned, emphasizing that the ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine is supported by both countries.

Regarding the ceasefire issue, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei stated in his press conference today about Iran’s demands for the sustainability of the ceasefire as well as the US proposal to lift sanctions: No, you have already seen that when peace is mentioned, another package of sanctions is mentioned. These fluctuations are not reliable at all; they should be considered a media game. At the peak of a diplomatic process, the regime carried out its aggression against Iran in coordination with the United States. Consider the process regarding the ceasefire. The regime launched an aggression against Iran for no reason. The Iranians responded with all their might and led the enemy to the conclusion that continuing the aggression would not serve their interests.
