Has Trump distanced himself from England as his traditional ally?

PNN – The website of Politico magazine wrote: While the British Prime Minister has tried hard to establish close relations with the American President, it has become clear that England had no place in the American plan to bomb Iran’s nuclear sites.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Politico report states: Since 2024, when the left-wing Prime Minister of England took office, he has tried to establish a good relationship with the American President, and according to his relatives, he has achieved results in many cases.

Trump has sometimes spoken unexpectedly warmly of Starmer, saying at a recent Group of 7 meeting in Canada: We’ve become friends in a short time.

However, London did not appear to be on Trump’s mind in recent days, and he attacked three of Iran’s nuclear sites, ignoring pleas from Europe to resume diplomacy.

A British official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that this was not surprising given the “battle” of late for Trump’s attention, and that it was never clear who would listen to what was being said among his own team, let alone the leaders of other countries.

According to Politico, London had publicly called for a reduction in tension with Iran; however, these requests remained unanswered.

At the G7 meeting, Starmer insisted there was no indication Trump was preparing for direct missile strikes on Iran. Also on Friday, Secretary of State David Lammy, after a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and his Middle East envoy Steve Wittkoff, believed that Trump would prefer a deal to an attack.

A former adviser to the British government, who interacted with the US president, said that Trump’s action a few days ago was “purely due to his personal desires and the influence of others is limited.”

The United States of America joined Netanyahu’s war against Iran by invading the three nuclear sites of Fardo, Natanz and Isfahan on Sunday morning, Tehran time, on the order of President Donald Trump. The Israeli regime launched a terrorist attack on Tehran and a number of Iranian cities on Friday morning, and a number of military commanders, scientists and civilians were martyred.

Following this US action, Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi issued a message and emphasized: According to the United Nations Charter and its provisions that allow a legitimate response within the framework of self-defense, Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interests and people.

The Atomic Energy Organization also announced in a statement that the country’s nuclear sites in Fardo, Natanz, and Isfahan were attacked by the enemies of Islamic Iran during a barbaric act contrary to international laws, especially the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), and emphasized: We will not allow the development of this national industry to stop.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also announced the beginning of the 20th round of combined missile-drone attacks against military targets and industrial centers related to the military industry in the cities of Haifa and Tel Aviv, at the same time as the US joined the attack of the Israeli regime against Iran.
