PNN – Initial estimates indicate that the US attack on Iran failed to achieve its stated motives and was more of a show than a real operation.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al-Mayadeen, US President Donald Trump announced in a statement last night about the attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities and claimed that three Iranian nuclear sites had been completely destroyed. He said the aim of the attacks was to stop Iran’s ability to enrich uranium and called the operation a major military success. In this regard, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated Trump for carrying out the operation.
Al-Mayadeen stated in its report that despite Trump and Netanyahu’s propaganda blackmail, existing estimates show that the attacks on three nuclear sites in Iran did not cause as much destruction as Netanyahu and Trump claimed, and it seems more likely that the attacks carried out by B-2 bombers and Tomahawk missiles launched from American submarines were a demonstration operation.
Reports from inside Iran, especially the areas surrounding the targeted nuclear facilities, indicate that only the external facilities of these sites were damaged, and that the main infrastructure located underground did not suffer any damage. Video footage from around the Fordow site also shows that conditions are completely normal. Residents in the area have also reported hearing relatively weak explosions, which could be described as widespread attacks. The transportation routes around these facilities are also fully active, and the situation is developing in such a way that even the American media and a large number of experts are expressing doubts about the results and impact of these attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Trump’s goals and motivations for the attack
Naturally, the US President, in numerous meetings with his National Security Council, had doubts about the impact of these attacks on Iran’s nuclear activities before the attack, and this doubt also led to disagreements about entering the war directly in favor of Israel. Now, we must see, despite all these disagreements, what were Trump’s goals and motivations for carrying out this attack?
First: The failure of the Zionist regime’s attack and aggression on Iran, which was carried out with American support, and Iran succeeded in taking control of the situation after the initial shock and entering the offensive phase.
Second: Iran has not accepted Trump’s threats to surrender and abandon its nuclear program and announced that it will continue its activities at any cost.
Third: The gradual quantitative and qualitative progress of Iranian attacks on the occupied territories with numerous missiles and drones, which have been accompanied by direct and precise hits against important military, intelligence, security, and technological positions. This is in addition to the decline in the Israeli regime’s stockpiles of interceptor missiles and the technical inability of defense systems to intercept Iranian missiles, which has left the Israeli regime completely defenseless and under direct threat from Iranian attacks.
Fourth: The gradual expansion of the effectiveness of Iran’s defense systems against American and Zionist aircraft, including the F-35 fighter jet, which has led to the downing of several fighter jets so far.
Fifth: The failure of American-Zionist plans to overthrow the Islamic Republic of Iran following the discovery of spy networks inside Iran and the unprecedented support of the Iranian nation for the leaders and regime of the Islamic Republic in this country.
Sixth: The fear of America and the Zionist regime that Iran’s victory in this war will change the face of the Middle East and redraw the geopolitical maps and equations of conflict in it.
Seventh: Netanyahu’s extensive pressure from the Zionist lobby in the United States on the government of that country to intervene militarily in favor of the Zionist regime.
Iranians have many options.
All of these factors had placed Trump and Netanyahu in a military and political challenge that made carrying out this attack inevitable. Therefore, Trump was forced to attack directly, even if only for show, to get out of this challenge. This is while he is never confident about the positive results of this attack in military or political dimensions.
At the end of his report, Al-Mayadeen emphasized that the Iranians currently have numerous military and civilian options at their disposal, which they have initiated with a massive wave of missile attacks against Israel, and that they can then take some preemptive and legal measures regarding Iran’s relations with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Although Donald Trump has warned in his public threats that he will increase the existing tension if the Iranians respond to these attacks, he has ordered many of his partners to take political action to reach a solution through talks to prevent the situation from becoming more complicated as a result of Iran’s inevitable response. However, Trump will soon realize that the course of developments on the ground, political developments, and the state of American public opinion have become much worse than before with this attack.
