Al-Akhbar: Tony Blair visits Lebanon, furthering alleged colonial agenda.
The Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar wrote on Thursday: The name of Tony Blair, a war criminal responsible for the deaths of at least one million Iraqis, has been raised again in connection with the plan that the United States is trying to impose on Palestine under the guise of the “Peace Council”.
The publication, noting that Blair has been a constant partner of the United States in dirty wars against countries and peoples in the region, added: “Information obtained shows that preparations are underway for Blair to travel to Beirut next week. He is heading a delegation whose nature and members have not yet been determined. The delegation will probably include a group of experts who will assist him in the Gaza file.
Sources informed the media that Blair will meet with the heads of the three branches of government in Lebanon, but the date has not yet been set. The objectives of the meeting and any message that Blair may carry are also not clear. Some circles have speculated that he may in the future be tasked with overseeing the implementation of a new colonial plan that is to be imposed on Lebanon; Similar to what is happening in Gaza.
Al-Akhbar linked the trip to the future of the situation on the southern border of Lebanon, in particular the project of “forming a civilian council to manage the affairs of the southern region.” The Americans claim that they want to turn the southern regions of Lebanon into an economic and regional zone for tourism, industrial investment and agriculture.
The newspaper added that: According to leaked information, the Israeli cabinet is also pressuring the US government to abandon the idea of supporting the Lebanese government. Tel Aviv regularly claims that “the Beirut government is not serious about fulfilling its obligations, as was evident in the issue of Hezbollah weapons.”
