Al Jazeera reports ongoing, systematic destruction in northern Gaza neighborhoods.

Al Jazeera News Network adds in this report: Social media activists have published a video showing the implementation of a massive explosion operation by the Israeli army in the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.

The video was reposted by Younis Al-Tirawi, a Palestinian journalist and expert in monitoring the accounts of the Israeli military, who wrote in his explanation: “Gaza on the eve of Christmas; the Israeli army is blowing up the homes of displaced Palestinian families today, while the ceasefire has been in effect for more than two months.”

Al Jazeera’s digital verification team, by determining the exact location of the video, announced that the explosions occurred in the Al-Zuhour neighborhood north of Rafah and at specific geographical coordinates.

A review of satellite images between December 13 and 24 also confirms the widespread presence of Israeli military machinery and the conduct of extensive excavation and demolition operations in the area. The matching of the destruction in satellite images with the explosion scenes has strengthened the hypothesis that the operation took place in the past 24 hours.

In another part of the report, images published by a Zionist journalist show the vast extent of the destruction in the northern Gaza Strip, especially in the Tel al-Za’tar neighborhood and the Jabalia camp.

In the video, the Zionist journalist says alongside a group of soldiers: “We are in the Jabalia neighborhood; almost everything is destroyed. This area is only seven kilometers from Sderot, and the hospital is the only structure that is still standing.”

Geographical analysis of the images by the Al Jazeera team shows that the group was stationed at a newly established military point on top of a height called “Tel al-Za’tar Hill,” a point overlooking the Indonesian hospital in northern Gaza. The images also show the remains of Al-Awda Hospital as the only remaining sign of the former urban fabric in an area that has been completely leveled.

According to Al Jazeera, the intensity and continuity of the demolition operations have made the borders of the city of Beit Lahia in the northernmost part of Gaza directly visible, a view that was not possible before the war due to the high density of construction.

The report concludes: Meanwhile, the Israeli army continues to carry out widespread demolitions of residential neighborhoods in Gaza City, including Shuja’iya and Al-Tuffah, east of Jabalia in the north, and various areas of Khan Younis and Rafah in the south, while the ceasefire announced as part of US President Donald Trump’s plan remains officially in effect.

According to IRNA, the Israeli regime, in violation of the ceasefire in Gaza, subjected areas in the east and south of Gaza to heavy fire with airstrikes and artillery on Thursday morning.

The Shahab news agency reported that the Israeli regime’s artillery shelled the east of Gaza City, while at the same time, the Israeli regime’s warplanes carried out heavy attacks on the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.

Palestinian sources announced that Israeli warplanes heavily bombed Rafah and Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.

Deir al-Balah in central Gaza was also bombed by Israeli warplanes.

The occupation army’s warships also subjected the western areas of Gaza City to heavy fire, while Israeli tanks targeted areas adjacent to the “Yellow Line” in eastern Gaza City.

“Ghazi Hamad,” a member of the Hamas political bureau, in an interview with Al Jazeera on Wednesday night, while rejecting the Israeli regime’s claims about violating the ceasefire agreement in Rafah, emphasized the regime’s sabotage of the talks.

He clarified that the area where the occupiers claim that Hamas violated the agreement is completely under the occupation and control of the occupying army.
