Islamabad seeks to promote peace and security.

Mohammad Sadiq Khan wrote on his official account on the X social network hours after the opening meeting to review developments in Afghanistan with a speech by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Abbas Araqchi: I attended the Tehran meeting along with my country’s ambassadors in Tehran and Kabul, as well as the Director General of the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.

He added: Islamabad seeks to promote peace, development, and security in the region.

Sadiq Khan emphasized: Pakistan’s concerns about terrorism must be firmly addressed.

According to IRNA, the meeting to review developments in Afghanistan was held today, Sunday, with the participation of neighboring and regional countries, with the aim of discussing and exchanging views on developments in Afghanistan, hosted by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting was attended by a representative of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, representatives of the presidents of Russia and Uzbekistan, and representatives of the Foreign Ministries of China, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. At the beginning of the meeting, our country’s Foreign Minister, Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, expressed Tehran’s most important views on Afghanistan as well as developments in the South Asian region.
