Netanyahu’s advisor and chief of staff arrested in connection with “Qatargate” case.
According to Al Jazeera, Channel 12 of the Israeli television announced that two people have been arrested in Israel on charges of involvement in the so-called “Qatar Gate” case.
Channel 13 of the Israeli television also announced that the two people are one of Netanyahu’s advisors and a spokesperson for his office.
A new wave of revelations about the connection between the staff of the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office and the case of receiving money from Qatar has created a new crisis for the cabinet of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Hebrew media have referred to this case as “Qatar Gate” and there is suspicion that a number of Netanyahu’s aides have received money from the Qatari government to improve the perception of Israeli society.
