According to the report, Trump shared the letter with Fox News.
Biden wrote: Donald Trump, as I leave this sacred office, I wish you and your family the best for the next four years.
The American people and the world look to this room, where steadfastness in the face of the inevitable challenges of history is expected.
Biden’s letter continued: “My prayer is that the years ahead will bring prosperity, peace and blessings to our nation.
May God bless and guide you, as He has guided and blessed us since the founding of this beloved country.”
Trump described the letter as “inspiring” and “good” and “appreciated” Biden’s action.
The letter was written on January 20, 2025, before Biden left the White House.
In America, it is customary for the president to leave a letter for his successor before leaving the White House, in accordance with the tradition of transferring power.
