PNN – A prominent Palestinian analyst warned about the betrayal and deceit of the US and the Zionist regime in the Gaza ceasefire agreement, and discussed the 7 reasons that forced Netanyahu to accept the agreement, saying: Whatever the outcome, the one thing that is certain is that the resistance will continue.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Abdul Bari Atwan, editor-in-chief of the trans-regional newspaper Rai al-Youm and a well-known Palestinian analyst, dedicated the new editorial of this electronic newspaper to the issue of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and the factors that have pushed the Zionists towards this agreement, writing: The real reason leading to the ceasefire, the partial withdrawal of the Zionist army from the Gaza Strip, and the prisoner exchange can be summarized in the statement of US President Donald Trump in his last press conference: “I told Netanyahu that Israel cannot fight with the whole world that is now against it.”
The world against the Zionists
Abdul Bari Atwan added: This is a clear admission from the president of the most powerful country in the world, which emphasizes that Israel no longer has the power to wage and continue this war, and in addition, its allies in the West, led by the United States, are no longer able to fight against the entire world.
The article continued: A war with the entire world, politically, militarily, and economically, is not like a war against a besieged and starving resistance group in an area (referring to the Gaza Strip) that does not exceed 365 square kilometers; A region without any forests or mountains, consisting of two and a half million people, most of whom are children, women, the elderly, and the children of those forcibly displaced from the cities and villages of southern occupied Palestine, including my own family.

The ceasefire in Gaza: The most strategic defeat the Zionists suffered
The Palestinian writer stated: Israel began a two-year war against an enemy with few weapons but a strong will, whose leaders have inherent intelligence and a deep faith in their cause, and the roots of this cause go back thousands of years in the region, and they are rooted in the region and, like the Zionists, are not foreigners or occupiers.
Atwan continued: That is why the Zionists did not win this war, although they may have achieved some achievements in terms of killing and destruction, but they suffered a great political defeat, especially in the humanitarian and intelligence fields. We are talking here about the results of the Al-Aqsa Storm, which has been going on for two years. Almost everyone agrees that Netanyahu’s eternal goal is to stay in power for as long as possible, but will accepting the first phase of the ceasefire agreement lead to the realization of this goal?
7 reasons that forced Netanyahu to call a ceasefire in Gaza
According to this note, it may be too early to provide a definitive answer to this question; especially since the agreement is still in its early days and its main clause, the prisoner exchange, has not yet been implemented. However, what can be said, and what the Zionists and their supporters refuse to acknowledge, is that several reasons forced Netanyahu to accept the rapid implementation of the first phase of the agreement:
– Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the occupation regime, is seeking to buy time to breathe and strengthen his domestic political and military front after the heavy defeats he has suffered.
– Netanyahu wants to develop a new strategy to regain control over Trump and his administration, to be able to emerge from the severe international isolation he has suffered, and also to prevent the execution of the sentences of the International Criminal Court that has condemned him as a war criminal.
– Netanyahu is trying to achieve at least one military victory on the seven fronts he claims to be fighting simultaneously, especially the Yemeni front, where missile and drone attacks have never stopped, or the Iranian front, which has continued to refuse to surrender to American threats, aggression, sanctions, and blockades.
– The Zionist regime’s aggression against Lebanon failed to eliminate Hezbollah’s threat against Israel and disarm this great resistance movement, and all of Hezbollah’s weapons, both heavy and light, are still in place. On the other hand, reports have been published; That Hezbollah’s new leadership is on the verge of adopting a new strategy to respond to the Israeli regime’s aggressions and also to restore its capabilities to produce new missiles and drones.
– The project to overthrow the Bashar al-Assad government in Syria failed to narrow the field for the axis of resistance as the Zionists had imagined, and in addition, a Syrian national resistance front has been created against the Zionist regime’s occupation in the country.
– The resistance in the Gaza Strip, with its two main military branches, the Al-Qassam Brigades, affiliated with the Hamas movement, and the Al-Quds Brigades, affiliated with the Islamic Jihad movement, is still intact and expanding. The impact of Israeli attacks aimed at weakening and possibly destroying the resistance is also still limited and cannot achieve this Zionist goal.
– Despite the great pressure it endures, the resistance is still able to fire missiles from under the rubble towards Zionist settlements, and “Yasin” anti-tank rockets are still being fired at Israeli tanks and armored personnel carriers. The prolongation of the war not only had no effect on the resistance’s manpower, but also significantly increased its number of members. Resistance weapons can be found under the rubble of every house, every tent, and every tunnel in the Gaza Strip, making their removal almost impossible.
Resistance will continue in any circumstances.
Abdul Bari Atwan continued his article by emphasizing: The question that arises here is what will happen after the Zionist prisoners return to Tel Aviv? Will there be a second and then a third phase? Will Trump, after failing to receive the Nobel Prize and achieve his greatest dream, continue to try to complete the Gaza ceasefire agreement? Will the most important goal of the US and Israel, the disarmament of the resistance, be achieved? And will negotiations and mediation eventually resume, and how long will it take?
The editor of the newspaper Rai al-Youm emphasized: We do not want to give hasty answers to complex issues that will become even more complex in the coming days given the new and different scene that has been created; as an English proverb says; “When we get to this bridge, we will cross it.” But the conclusion we can draw is that the coming days require great caution from the resistance brigades, because we are facing a treacherous enemy, and Trump and his administration are the greatest collaborators with the occupying regime in the genocidal war against Gaza.
At the end of this note it says: There may be no second or third phase or even a continuation of the ceasefire and the arrival of aid to Gaza at all, so the current agreement does not mean a solution to the crisis, but rather the crisis will become more complex. However, what is certain is that the resistance will continue and spread to the West Bank and the model of Yemen’s support for Gaza will be repeated on other fronts, and future developments will clarify everything.
