These deals include $2.8 billion from Italy to build the F-35 fighter. Meanwhile, Poland was the largest customer of US foreign military sales in 2023, spending $12 billion on Apache combat helicopters and $10 billion on Hymars missile systems.
The US State Department announced: “This is the highest total annual sales and aid to our allies and partners.”
According to the report, arms sales are an important tool of US foreign policy with potential long-term implications for regional and global security.

Russia, especially in the context of Ukraine, believes that the NATO alliance is at war with this country using Ukraine as a tool.
Russia has repeatedly criticized Western countries for supplying Ukraine with weapons and has warned that NATO members have practically become direct parties to the conflict. Russia has openly declared that such weapons to Ukraine by Western countries make them legitimate targets in Russia’s military operations.
