“Al-Aqsa storm” operation and its consequences on the reconciliation process between the Zionist regime and Saudi Arabia

Pak Sahafat – The public opinion in the Arab world and the Islamic world after the daring operation of Al-Aqsa Storm can no longer easily digest the normalization of Saudi relations with the Israelis because this operation was a flip that in the form of the normalization project, this hostility was being forgotten.

According to the report of the International group of Pak Sahafat news agency, Since the establishment of the Zionist regime, the idea of improving the relations of this regime with Arab countries, especially Saudi Arabia, has been discussed, and Ben-Gurin, the first prime minister of this regime since that time, with the doctrine of the peripheral environment with the aim of strengthening relations with non-Arab countries (Ethiopia, Turkey and Iran) was trying to solve this bottleneck around the occupied territories. This policy changed after Anwar Sadat’s compromise in Camp David and King Hussein of Jordan’s peace in Wadi Araba, and Tel Aviv considered improving relations with Arab countries, including in North Africa and the Persian Gulf, as a new political, economic and social project.

America, as Israel’s most important ally, also supported this process and has continuously pressured its allies in the Arab countries, especially in the Cooperation Council, to normalize relations. The strategy of the Zionists for these relations was cooperation at a low level through the creation of economic offices and also the appointment of Jewish advisers to the sheikhs of the Persian Gulf in order to gradually penetrate the countries of the region.

This political project accelerated since the 1990s with the increase in globalization under the name of economic integration, and finally, the unofficial movements and non-public movements of the Zionists to create a path of influence in the Arab countries took shape in the form of the Ibrahim agreement between the UAE and Bahrain with Israel. In less than two years, this agreement caused a significant growth in the economic relations between the Zionist regime and the UAE, so that the volume of exchanges between the two sides increased from about 270 million dollars in 2019 to 1.29 billion dollars in the first 6 months of 2023, and according to the acknowledgment of the ambassador of the UAE in Washington 150 weekly flights have been established between the UAE and occupied Palestine and 290,000 citizens of the Zionist regime came to the UAE last year.

As a result of recent developments, in addition to Saudi Arabia, the situation has become different for the UAE and Bahrain, who had rapidly deepened their relations with the Zionists in the past two years, and these countries can no longer develop relations with Tel Aviv without political costs, as in the past. Public opinion in the Arab world and the Islamic world after the daring operation of Al-Aqsa Storm can no longer easily digest the normalization of relations with the Israelis, because this operation was a flip on the enemy of the Islamic world, which was being forgotten in the form of the project of normalizing this hostility.
