American naval alliance in the Red Sea: from incomplete formation to ambiguous fate.

American naval alliance in the Red Sea: from incomplete formation to ambiguous fate.

The equation of “lifting the blockade of the Gaza Strip” versus “stopping military operations in the Red Sea” is the latest initiative of Yemen’s resistance against the Zionist regime and its allies in the Western bloc. With the intensification of the genocide of Palestinian women and children in the Gaza Strip, the authorities of the National Unity Government of Yemen threatened to attack the south of the occupied territories as legitimate targets. The combined attacks of the Yemeni National Army forces on the city of Eilat and removing this strategic port from a distance was the first achievement of the resistance in the direct war with the Zionists. With the continuation of the ground-air aggression of the Zionists against the Gaza strip, the second phase of the operations of the Yemeni forces against the commercial ships belonging to the Zionist oligarchs and the military ships of the Euro-Atlantic countries began. In response to the defensive actions of the Yemeni resistance in defense of the people of Gaza, US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin has announced that with the presence of 10 American allies, a maritime coalition will be established to ensure the security of shipping and international trade in the Red Sea. Some analysts, referring to the unsuccessful experience of the Saudi coalition and the inability of the Zionists in the naval war with Iran, believe that the American naval coalition will not be able to deal with the threats of asymmetric forces and will not be able to achieve its predetermined goals.

Yemeni dagger in the Red Sea

The economic life of the Zionist regime depends on the continued activity of its strategic ports such as Eilat, Ashdod, Haifa, and Ashkelon. According to information published by Israeli sources, Tel Aviv imports more than 90% of its needs through waterways. Of this figure, about 30% of the Zionists’ imports are imported through the southern port of Eilat. In recent weeks, following the operations of the Yemeni army in this area, the normal activities of this port have been disrupted, and the Zionists are trying to follow a part of this crisis through the expansion of air trade. The director general of Eilat port has announced that following the attacks of the Yemeni resistance, the revenue of this region has experienced an 80% drop in the last month.
