PNN – Abdulbari Atwan harshly criticized the Lebanese government for surrendering to the American-Israeli conspiracy and preventing the landing of an Iranian plane at Beirut airport.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Abdulbari Atwan, the editor of the regional newspaper Raye Alyoum and a well-known Palestinian analyst, wrote ironically in his new article about the recent incidents at the Beirut airport and the moves of the Lebanese government in alignment with the United States and the Zionist regime in order to prevent the entry of the Iranian plane: We did not know that Avikhai Adraei, the official spokesman of the Zionist regime’s cabinet in Arabic, is the real ruler of Beirut International Airport; where the Ministry of Transport of Lebanon immediately responded to his warnings and prevented the Iranian plane from landing.
Atwan added with the same critical tone: Which ministry or rather which government accepts to obey the orders of an occupying party that occupies its land and prevent two civilian planes from landing at its airport? So where is this sovereignty that the Lebanese government talked about and mentioned in the first paragraph of its statement? Is submitting to the orders of the Israeli enemy compatible with the conditions of this Lebanese sovereignty?

This note added: It is natural and certain that the families of the passengers whose plane was prevented from landing at Beirut airport last Thursday will hold a protest against this dangerous and unprecedented action.
Abdulbari Atwan, criticizing the weak positions of the Lebanese government and army regarding the aggression and continued occupation of the Zionist regime in this country, stated: We ask the Lebanese authorities as well as the command of the international forces in Lebanon; What did you do when the Israeli occupying forces attacked one of the centers of these forces (UNIFIL) in the south of Lebanon and killed more than three of its forces with bullets and wounded at least 10 people?
This Palestinian analyst continued: We don’t know what crime Iran is committing if it wants to help the Lebanese refugees and send bread and food to the war-torn refugees of this country. Has the Lebanese government taken any action to alleviate hunger and provide the minimum necessities of life for its own displaced citizens? Did the United States, for example, support the ceasefire agreement and an American general heads the committee overseeing the implementation of the ceasefire, did anything to provide any financial and food aid to the Lebanese refugees and rebuild their homes that were destroyed by Israel’s brutal aggression?
Abdul Bari Atwan said: America, France and other western countries as well as the Arab countries that claim solidarity with the Lebanese and shed crocodile tears for them, especially the countries that were eager to speed up the election of the new president of Lebanon and the formation of the government of this country, what did they do to help the Lebanese?
