According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the statements made today, Sunday, by Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, regarding the military threats of US President Donald Trump, along with the dispatch of this country’s military equipment to West Asia, received widespread coverage in foreign media.
The US President, following the peaceful livelihood protests of the Iranian people and classes in January, which, according to Tehran, were led into chaos and destruction by terrorist elements supported by the US and the Zionist regime, claimed that if the protesters were shot, he would come to their aid. In recent days, he had announced the dispatch of a US aircraft carrier group to West Asia, threatening that Iran should either seize the opportunity for negotiations or face US military attacks.
Although Trump claimed in statements yesterday that Iran is seriously negotiating with the United States and that his administration’s plan is to negotiate with Iran.
The Leader of the Revolution, warning that the Americans should know that if they start a war this time, it will be a regional war, said about the US approach towards Iran: In my opinion, the issue can be summed up in two words. Those two words are that America wants to swallow Iran; the wise nation of Iran and the Islamic Republic are an obstacle.

Turkey’s Anatoli Agency, citing the Supreme Leader’s statements, wrote: If America starts a new war this time; it will spread throughout the region.
The media outlet further wrote that Iran’s Supreme Leader said that the dispatch of American ships to the region is not new, and American officials have previously repeated these threats.
The Politico magazine, under the headline “Iran Warns of Regional War if US Attacks,” wrote: Ayatollah Khamenei said that if US troops attack Iran, the consequences will spread throughout West Asia.
Russia Today quoted the Supreme Leader as saying: We will not initiate (war) and we do not want to attack any country, but the Iranian nation will deal a strong blow to anyone who attacks or harasses.
The Associated Press also wrote about his statements today: Iran’s Supreme Leader warned today that if America starts a war this time, it will be a regional war.
The Azerbaijani news agency APA also took note of the Supreme Leader’s warning about a regional war in the event of an aggressive US attack, quoting him as saying: The Americans should know that if they start a war this time, it will be a war on a regional scale.
The Afghan TV channel Amu also reported on part of his statements today, in which he said that Iran would not initiate any war, but that the Iranian nation would deal a severe blow to the aggressor, and also noted his warning about a regional war breaking out in the event of a US military attack on Iran.
