PNN – Following the pressure of world public opinion on European governments due to the continuation of the Zionist hunger war and genocide against Gaza, these governments have adopted positions against Israel, but these positions, which do not go beyond threats and statements, cannot be considered a real awakening.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, great shame, or perhaps dishonor, as French President Emmanuel Macron said, is what has encouraged a number of Western countries in recent times to publicly criticize the brutal actions of the Zionist occupation regime against civilians in the Gaza Strip and to make unprecedented threats against the regime.

Unprecedented turnaround in Western governments’ positions against Israel
For more than 20 months, the Zionist occupying army has continued to massacre innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip, and during this time, Western countries not only failed to condemn the brutal Zionist aggression, but also tried to justify these crimes and propagate the narrative of the occupying regime.
By continuing this criminal war against defenseless civilians in Gaza despite all international threats and calls to end this war, Netanyahu has proven to Western countries that his personal goals are much more important to him than the opinions of his allies in the world and that he does not care about their status.
Controversy over Zionist attack on European diplomats in Jenin
One of the fundamental developments that perhaps increased the anger of Western governments at the unbridled behavior of the Zionists and Netanyahu personally is related to the attack by the Zionist military on European diplomats in Jenin in the northern West Bank.
The images released from the incident showed all the diplomats running towards their cars to escape the Israeli forces’ gunfire. As usual, the Israeli army issued a repeated statement to justify this brazen action of its forces, announcing that the Israeli soldiers had fired warning shots at the European delegation.
But the arguments of the occupying regime’s army, such as the claim that the Israeli forces intended to protect the EU representatives from armed elements who might have been ambushing them in the area, did not convince anyone, because the area where the European delegation entered is an area that no one can enter without the knowledge of the Zionist army.
Official European reactions to this action by the Zionist military began immediately, and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrow announced in a tweet that Paris would summon the Israeli ambassador to investigate the incident.
The French Foreign Minister said: The shooting by Israeli forces at the European delegation in Jenin, where one of our diplomats was present, is unacceptable, and we fully support our delegation and its mission in difficult circumstances.
Europe’s Unprecedented Threats against Israel
But the bullets fired by the Zionist military at the European diplomatic mission were merely small sparks of a fire that had already ignited between the Zionist regime and its loyal Western allies. On May 19, France, Britain, and Canada issued a statement on the catastrophic situation in Gaza and the West Bank, stating that they strongly oppose the expansion of Israeli military attacks in Gaza and consider the human suffering in the strip unbearable.
The aforementioned European countries called on the Israeli government to immediately allow continuous and sufficient humanitarian aid to enter Gaza. These countries considered the occupation regime’s refusal to provide basic humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza unacceptable and a violation of humanitarian law, and condemned the rhetoric of the Israeli authorities threatening the forced displacement of Gaza residents.
European countries also threatened the Zionist regime that they would take measures against it if the Gaza war continued, including canceling the trade agreement with it, but will these measures actually be taken and what can these countries do? To answer this question, we need to review the relations between the Zionist regime and European countries.
All of these agreements are evidence of the closeness between the West and the Zionist regime, and of course, it goes without saying that European countries have always strongly supported Zionism as an ideology, and some of them, such as France and Germany, consider any criticism of Zionism to be anti-Semitism.
The French president justified the lack of use of the term genocide by arguing that it is not the responsibility of politicians, but rather historians who have the right to accurately describe what happened.
Simultaneously with these positions of Western governments against the Zionist regime, popular movements have also spread across Europe against the crimes of the occupying regime. For example, in recent weeks in the Netherlands, we have witnessed unprecedented protests and widespread demonstrations against the Zionist occupiers.
Has the West woken up?
But will the threats of Western countries and their stance against the Zionist regime have any effect on this regime and Netanyahu himself? The Westerners themselves know very well that Netanyahu exploits all crises and wars to his own advantage, whether to achieve political gains or to reduce his losses and escape trial.
In response to these positions of Western countries, Netanyahu said that France, Britain and Canada are on the wrong side of history and that their statements mean support for Hamas. The French government spokesman immediately reacted to Netanyahu’s statements, saying: Paris does not accept such accusations and distinguishes between the Israelis and the current cabinet headed by Netanyahu.
But what has been proven so far is that Netanyahu insists on the complete destruction of the Gaza Strip and is trying to instill his desired narrative about the changes that have occurred in the Western discourse into the Zionist public opinion.
While the images of starving children in Gaza pain the conscience of every person in the world, and the round-the-clock bombing of civilians and the massacre of hundreds of them every day continue, Western officials do not dare to use the term genocide to describe what is happening in Gaza, and they still support Israel’s crimes.
