China’s signature with Deep seek for America in the field of technology

PNN – The first artificial intelligence of Chinese basic text called Deep seek has been able to quickly become popular in a short period of time since it was presented in web format for computers, applications in Google Play and Apple Store for free, promising more innovations in the field of artificial intelligence.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the fast performance and availability to everyone has made Deep seek ‘s text-based artificial intelligence quickly spread among users and in a short period of time lead to the loss of a trillion dollars in the value of American technology companies.

The tremors of these changes have caused the stock value of Nvidia, one of the American technology giants, to fall more than any other technology company in this country and lose nearly 500 billion dollars of its value.

The wealth of the world’s 500 richest people fell by $108 billion due to the fall in tech stocks caused by the success of the free AI language model Deep seek, according to Bloomberg’s dzen report from the Russian Yandex search engine.

The robot was released online in December 2024, and according to its developers, the project cost less than $6 million.

According to this report, the biggest victim of Deep seek ‘s success so far has been the founder and CEO of Nvidia, Jenson Huang, as his fortune has fallen by 20% or $22.6 billion to $101 billion.

It should be mentioned that as a result of these developments, Nvidia lost its market value of 600 billion dollars, and as a result of these changes, it gave the title of the most valuable company in the world to Apple and Microsoft, because its shares decreased by almost 18%.

The tremors that have occurred in the past few days in the field of technology and the progress of the Chinese in artificial intelligence have not only been limited to the American stock markets, and have also forced the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and other Silicon Valley leaders to react. The difference this time seems to be that the company behind the innovation is based in China, a country known as the geopolitical friend-foe of the United States, whose tech sector seemed to lag far behind Silicon Valley until the advent of Deep seek.

Trump recently said in Florida in his first reaction to the events of the last few days in the field of technology: The release of Deep seek artificial intelligence by a Chinese company is a serious warning for the US and shows that we should try with a special focus to win in this field because the US has the best scientists in the world and it is unusual for it not to be first.

Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, the provider of Chat GPT, said about Deep seek: This is an impressive model, especially in terms of performance and cost; obviously, we can offer much better models and it’s really exciting to have a new competitor, we will accelerate the launch of some models.

He, whose company is the main competitor of the Chinese Deep seek, emphasized that OpenAI believes that increasing computing power is the key to success.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and the head of the Dodge organization in the United States government, also said in response to the recent events: Chinese company Deep seek couldn’t launch its model without the help of Nvidia graphics cards, which are banned in China.

Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft, also wrote about this on LinkedIn: The Jones paradox is happening again. He pointed to the concept that increased efficiency in production often leads to greater demand.

Forbes, one of the most famous American economic publications, wrote about Deep seek: This is a relatively unknown Chinese AI startup that has surprised Silicon Valley with its recent release of advanced AI models.

The publication concludes that DeepSeek-R1, released in January 2025, focuses on analytical tasks and challenges the new OpenAI model with its advanced capabilities.

Financial Times, one of the oldest, most important and most influential economic and political newspapers in the Western world, has also provided: The release of DeepSeek-R1 has sparked a heated debate in Silicon Valley about whether better-resourced US AI companies, including PBC’s Meta and Anthropic, can defend their technical advantage.

Wired, an American monthly full-color magazine that deals with how new and growing technologies affect culture, economics and politics, also said about Deep seek: This free chatbot could pose a serious threat to competitors like OpenAI, which charges $20 per month for access to the most powerful AI models.
