Dealing with “American weapons” is the main achievement of Trump’s sensational trip to the Persian Gulf

PNN – The recent defeat of the world’s largest army and its weapons by the Yemeni Mujahideen shows that the region’s rulers gambled on a “losing horse”.

Last week, US President Donald Trump traveled to the southern Persian Gulf region for the second time, which, according to the reliable “New Yorker” magazine, was the only achievement of attracting “petroleum dollars” for the American economy and military industry. Members of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, who are trying to show a different image by preparing vision documents, see Trump’s presence in their capitals as an opportunity to strengthen the kingdom’s foundations and attract new economic opportunities! This idea exists among the Arab rulers that basically foreign investors do not have a great desire to bring their money to the dry deserts of the Hijaz region and are more interested in attracting capital from this region. This issue was clearly visible during the joint meeting between Trump and members of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council. Perhaps for this reason, by making a ridiculous comparison between the political-environmental situation of Iran and the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf, Trump tried to show a different image of these desert and dry countries in the region. Based on this, in the continuation of this analytical report, let us answer the question that the billion-dollar contracts of the Persian Gulf countries with the United States have brought special achievements for the West Asian region.

Trump’s business in the Persian Gulf!

In his first Middle East trip after returning to the White House, Donald Trump visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates from May 13 to 16. During this trip, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegst, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, Chief of the President’s Office Susie Wiles, Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessant, and Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla, also accompanied the American President.

Before this trip, the volume of US foreign trade with members of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council had reached 180 billion dollars. During this trip, contracts worth 600 billion dollars were signed with Saudi Arabia and agreements worth 243 billion dollars were signed with Qatar. In the last stop of his regional trip, Trump managed to sign a $200 billion contract with the United Arab Emirates in the field of artificial intelligence, aerospace, energy and other industrial sectors. Previously, during Tahnoun bin Zayed’s visit to Washington, Western sources had announced the investment of 1.4 trillion dollars by Emirati in America. Finally, according to the announcement of the White House, Donald Trump ended his trip to the Middle East with total investment commitments worth one trillion dollars. Most of the signed agreements were in the field of transit, artificial intelligence, aviation, space, mining, health and medical education.

In the military field, Trump was able to sign significant contracts with the Arab countries of the region. After the bilateral meeting between Mohammed bin Salman and Trump, they signed the “Strategic Economic Partnership” document between the United States and Saudi Arabia. Another document signed during this meeting was the signing of the “Development and Update of the Saudi Armed Forces” memorandum.

In this ceremony, a memorandum on the development and updating of the Saudi armed forces was signed by Prince Khalid bin Salman, the Saudi Minister of Defense, and his American counterpart, Pete Hegst. Also, the parties signed an arms contract worth 142 billion dollars. During the meeting of the American-Qatari delegations in Doha, an agreement was signed for the purchase of 160 Boeing aircraft worth 200 billion dollars. Also, the defense officials of the United States and Qatar signed new military agreements. The agreement was for the purchase of advanced military aircraft, including MKV-9 Reaper drones and a $1 billion contract for Fixed Site-LIDS anti-drone systems. The figure included in this defense contract is 3 billion dollars.

All the fuss!

Regardless of the one trillion dollars that Trump took from the government development fund of the Arab countries, the key question is what the presence of the American president in the south of the Persian Gulf will do. Has it achieved anything for the people of the Middle East? In recent years, by strengthening the members of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council and Israel, Washington has intended to create a new economic-political-security axis with the aim of curbing to create revisionist actors such as China, Russia and Iran. At the same time, the Americans tried to quickly complete the process of destroying the north of the Persian Gulf by attaching all kinds of accusations to Iran and the resistance axis with tools such as sanctions, terrorism, war, etc. The fate of Iraq, Syria and Lebanon shows the Americans’ destructive view of the future. If this policy is not well understood, then Trump’s unrealistic praise of the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf or the lifting of sanctions on Syria under the rule of Sharia will be presented as an achievement for the people of the region! For nearly 16 years, the United States, with the help of Türkiye, Israel and conservative Arab countries, has turned Syria into a civil war and embargoed to finally change the political situation in the Shamat region. Now, with the armed opposition and terrorists ruling over Damascus, Trump has decided to end the siege of the new Syria at the request of “Mohammed bin Salman”! Now, in return for the favor (!) of “King Trump” to “Jolani”, Syria should be ready to join the Abraham Pact and give permanent concessions of its energy fields to Western powers, especially America.

Conclusion

The recent defeat of the world’s largest army by the Yemeni Mujahideen shows that the region’s rulers gambled on a “losing horse”. While the Western propaganda machine tries to show the B-2 strategic bombers, F-35 fifth generation fighters and aircraft carriers as invincible war machines, the reality is that the US military is not the only actor in the field of action and it is possible that their war policy will fail on some fronts. What seems certain is that if America cannot fully defend its strategic assets in the region, then they will not be able to defend the security and interests of the Arab countries in the region in a more prominent way. Now we have to wait and see if the “goods of security” can be bought like French perfumes or if once again the result of the above contracts will only start another cycle of instability in the region.
