Did the relations between Türkiye and the Israeli regime cease?
The crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza continue and the regional and international consequences of the attacks have taken on new dimensions. Now, 6 months after the historic Al-Aqsa storm operation, Turkey is finally forced to take a stand against Israel.
Although the new decision of Erdogan’s government is not decisive and serious, it has had consequences so far and the imposition of new restrictions on the export of goods from Turkey to the occupied territories angered the Zionist authorities.
It was this morning that Turkish Minister of Commerce Omar Polad, who has always denied doing business with the regime, announced that the Ankara government has decided to limit the number of export items to Israel.
Action or reaction?
A little more than 6 months have passed since the brutal attacks of the Zionist regime on Gaza and the West Bank, and during this time, more than 34 thousand Palestinians have lost their lives, many of them women and children. But during all this time, the shipment of cargo ships from Turkey to the occupied territories has not stopped even for a week, and during this time, more than 5 billion dollars of goods have reached Israel.
From the first weeks of the war, serious protests by Turkish politicians started against this wrong approach of Erdogan’s government. But Erdoğan’s team ignored the criticism and continued to work.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan’s words about the reasons for restricting the export of goods to Israel revealed other aspects of Ankara’s pragmatic and selfish approach towards Palestine.
Hakan Fidan said about the reason for taking the said decision about not exporting 54 items to Israel, that this decision of Erdogan’s government was a response to Israel’s disregard for Turkey’s proposal!
In other words, Ankara’s decision is not a voluntary and independent “action”, but a passive and delayed “reaction”. The story is that Hakan Fidan, through the Jordanian authorities, suggested to the Israelis to allow the giant transport plane of the Turkish army to take some medical and food shipments to Gaza. But Israel firmly rejected Türkiye’s offer. Hakan Fidan has also openly announced that Türkiye’s new decision was a reaction to the disregard of the Zionist authorities.
