Gideon’s Chariots: Israel’s Failed Plan in Gaza with a New Mask

PNN – A look at the dimensions of the military plan known as “Gideon’s Chariots,” which the Zionist army announced this morning will begin in Gaza, shows that the provisions of this plan have been in effect since the beginning of the genocidal war against Gaza and have not achieved any of Israel’s goals.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, After more than 19 months since the beginning of the Zionist regime’s genocidal war against the Gaza Strip, and while the regime, with the support of the United States, had prepared various plans from the beginning of the war to occupy Gaza and force Hamas to surrender the Israeli prisoner cards, of course, they had not achieved anything. Two weeks ago, the regime’s security cabinet announced that a call had been issued to recruit tens of thousands of new reservists to the army, and approved a plan to expand military attacks on Gaza under the name “Gideon’s Chariots,” which is a new plan for the genocide of the Palestinian people.

The expansion of the Zionist frenzy of attacks on Gaza coincides with Trump’s presence in the region

But over the past few days, while the US government claimed to be making serious efforts to establish a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and to carry out a prisoner exchange deal, and many analysts predicted that the Israeli regime’s attacks on the strip would stop or decrease, at least during the visit of US President Donald Trump to Arab countries in the region, but during Trump’s presence in Arab capitals, we witnessed a frantic escalation of the Israeli army’s brutal attacks on various areas of the Gaza Strip, such that in just 36 hours, 250 civilians were massacred, according to official statistics, and hundreds of other civilians were missing and injured.

During these days, hospitals have been among the prominent targets of the occupation army’s attacks, and the regime completely destroyed the European Hospital and the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip with its systematic attacks. Palestinian sources report that from yesterday morning, Friday, until this afternoon, Saturday, more than 150 Palestinians have been martyred in the criminal attacks of the occupation army.

At the same time, the Zionist regime’s all-out siege on Gaza has been ongoing for nearly three months, and not even a grain of wheat has entered the strip; to the point that international organizations are reporting a real famine in Gaza and sounding the alarm about the gradual death of more than 2 million people due to hunger.

Gideon’s chariots set out for Gaza

In this situation, this morning, the Zionist media announced the beginning of a military plan called Gideon’s Chariots. The Israeli army announced that in the past few hours, heavy Israeli attacks have begun in Gaza and that the regime’s army forces have entered Israeli-controlled areas in Gaza.

The occupying regime’s army claimed that widespread military attacks in the Gaza Strip would continue until all war objectives were achieved, including the return of hostages (Zionist prisoners) and the destruction of Hamas.

The Israeli army spokesman announced today that the first phase of Operation Gideon’s Chariots in the Gaza Strip has begun with heavy strikes and the entry of Israeli forces into the interior of Gaza.

Analysts believe that this brutal plan of the Zionist regime actually began a few weeks ago, when the Israeli army began destroying vital infrastructure in the southern area of Rafah and creating a buffer zone here.

Hebrew circles report that the purpose of the Gideon Chariots plan is to systematically starve, massacre, and deprive the people of Gaza of food and medicine, to redivide the Gaza Strip into small areas and push the Palestinians to move towards an area called “Little Gaza” as a prelude to their displacement outside the Gaza Strip.

Details of the Zionists’ repeated barbaric plan in Gaza with a new mask

However, the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth revealed details about the design of Gideon’s chariots in a report written by Ron Ben-Yishai, a military affairs analyst for the newspaper: This plan aims to achieve military and political victory in Gaza through a three-stage operation organized and employing five sophisticated levers of pressure against Hamas, in an attempt to force the movement to accept a prisoner exchange agreement and dismantle its military infrastructure.

This plan includes three stages as follows:

The first stage

This phase includes logistical and psychological preparations, and its duration is set until May 16, 2025, the end date of US President Donald Trump’s visit to the region, and is as follows:

– Preparations to displace Gaza residents from the north to the south of the Strip in an area between the Morag axis and Philadelphia.

– Establishing logistics centers in cooperation with an American company to distribute food, water, and medicine to refugees.

– Destroying the Hamas tunnels that connect Rafah to Khan Yunis and the central areas, isolating the Gaza areas from each other, and cutting off movement and aid routes.

The second stage

This phase includes the heavy bombing of civilians and the displacement of the people of Gaza, which is considered the most dangerous phase of the Gideon Chariots plan from a humanitarian perspective and includes the following:

– Initial heavy air bombardment and widespread ground attacks across the Gaza Strip.

– Displacement of Gazans towards so-called “safe” areas in Rafah through direct threats or indirect instructions such as dropping leaflets into Gaza.

– Activation of Israeli army security checkpoints under the supervision of the Shin Bet and the army, whose mission is to prevent Hamas forces and other Palestinian resistance groups from entering the so-called safe areas.

The third stage

This phase is based on gradual attacks and dismantling of Hamas’ military infrastructure, and begins after civilians withdraw from the areas targeted by Israel, and includes the following:

– A gradual invasion of Gaza, starting from evacuated areas in northern Gaza.

– Complete destruction of Hamas’ military infrastructure, including buildings suspected of being used as the movement’s command headquarters.

– Long-term military deployment of the Israeli army in the occupied territories in Gaza to prevent Hamas from reorganizing and taking control of the strip.

Israel’s alleged leverage for implementing the brutal Gideon Chariots plan

Zionist analyst Ron Ben-Yishai said that Israel is relying on a set of tools to ensure the success of its plan, and these tools are designed to limit Hamas’ ability to resist Israeli attacks and pressure the movement to make concessions in prisoner exchange negotiations.

Israel’s levers of pressure for this purpose are five:

– Occupation and control of the Gaza Strip.

– Restricting the movement of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip through numerous checkpoints.

– Taking control of humanitarian aid that is supposed to enter Gaza.

– Separating Hamas from the people of Gaza.

– Applying military pressure to Hamas officials.

The occupiers’ new deception, exaggerating Gideon’s chariots

But experts believe that the disclosure of the details of this plan by the Hebrew media is part of the occupation regime’s efforts to exert psychological pressure on Hamas in order to force the movement to make major concessions in the ceasefire negotiations and prisoner exchange according to Israel’s demands.

We should also mention the repeated deceptions of the Zionists in this plan, where the occupiers repeatedly introduced areas in the Gaza Strip as safe zones and committed many brutal massacres after civilians arrived there. According to statistics from the Government Information Office in the Gaza Strip, the number of Palestinian martyrs in the so-called safe areas constitutes approximately one-fifth of the victims of Israel’s genocidal war against the Strip, and their number is more than 10,000 martyrs.

For example, the occupiers targeted the Al-Mawasi area in the southern Gaza Strip, which they claimed was safe, with brutal attacks 38 times, and nearly 300 refugee centers and shelters that the Israeli army had declared safe were bombed by the regime.

A failed plan to survive Netanyahu’s political life

Nael Abdul-Hadi, an Arabic-language analyst, believes that the Israeli army is unable to implement this plan simultaneously in all areas of Gaza and must mobilize a significant number of reserve forces for this purpose, while the Israeli army is suffering from a severe manpower crisis.

It is worth noting that after approving the Gideon Chariots plan, Eyal Zamir, the Chief of Staff of the Israeli army, warned the ministers of the regime’s security cabinet: In a plan for a full-scale maneuver, we will not necessarily reach the hostages (Zionist prisoners) in Gaza, and remember that we may lose them.
