According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Abdul Bari Atwan, editor-in-chief of the trans-regional newspaper Rai Al Youm and a prominent Palestinian analyst, dedicated the new editorial of this electronic newspaper, as in previous days, to the equations of the current war between Iran and the United States and the Zionist regime, which has become a regional war according to the equation of the martyred leader of the revolution, and wrote: It is impossible to understand the present, future, and results of the war between the United States and Israel that US President Donald Trump started against Iran and entered its second week today, without carefully studying the initial statement with which Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the third Supreme Leader of Iran, inaugurated the beginning of his leadership.
Two big bombs: Iran and the resistance, which will explode in front of the aggressors
Abdul Bari Atwan added: There are two strategic points in this statement that are considered the most important of its five points: first, continuing to close the Strait of Hormuz, and second, expanding the circle of resistance against aggression and opening new fronts. The first, namely closing the Strait of Hormuz, is considered the most powerful bomb and has achieved its initial and fruitful fruits; especially considering the global economic war it has unleashed, the most obvious of which is the significant increase in energy prices (oil and gas), the tripling of insurance costs for oil tankers and other commercial vessels, and the collapse of global stock markets.
He clarified: But the second regional bomb in our opinion, namely the expansion of new fronts and the joining of other forces, has begun with the opening of the Iraqi front, which may be more dangerous militarily because of its consequences for most neighboring countries that are indirectly involved, especially Jordan and the Persian Gulf countries, which have in common the presence of American bases on their soil and the fragility of their defense capabilities compared to Iran, which is a major military power and whose area is larger than all of these countries combined.

The Iraqi resistance, a major defensive bastion next to Iran
The article continues: The first sign that Iraq, with its Shiite majority, was joining Iran’s defensive line in the face of American aggression was the downing of an American KC-132 aircraft, which specializes in refueling Israeli and American bombers and fighters that were on their way to bomb targets deep in Iran and western Iraq, killing all its crew. This action followed leaks that Iraqi resistance groups were equipped with highly advanced surface-to-air missiles to shoot down Israeli and American bombers flying from US military bases in Jordan and the Israeli occupation regime.
Abdul Bari Atwan continued: There are six Iraqi resistance groups that do not hide their support for Iran and stand in its stronghold to confront this bilateral aggression by Israel and America: Al-Nujaba Movement, Iraqi Hezbollah, Ansarullah Al-Ofiyya, Kata’ib Sayyid Al-Shuhada, Asa’ib Ahl Al-Haq, Kata’ib Karbala, in addition to smaller groups, all of which form the umbrella of the Popular Mobilization Forces.
He emphasized: Iraqi sources whose credibility we trust have informed us of the possibility of Iraqi Sunni groups entering the field to fight alongside their Shiite brothers against America, which has disappointed them (the Sunnis) and stabbed them in the back, and Israel, which has committed a genocidal war in the Gaza Strip. So the American magic may come back to haunt its owners, and we must remember and remind ourselves that the Sunni resistance in Iraq played a major role in confronting the American occupation, killing at least more than six thousand of its soldiers, and forcing then-US President Barack Obama to decide to withdraw from Iraq in November 2011 to reduce the damage.
Jordan and the Golani regime are concerned about developments in the region
The editor of Rai Al Youm newspaper stated: Our colleagues who come from Jordan are speaking of the extreme concern in official circles and its popular supporters due to these rapid developments in Iraq related to plans to intensify resistance against the American and Israeli aggression against Iran, and the increasing possibilities of its transfer to Jordan, which does not deny the existence of American bases on its soil; especially since interceptor missiles are launched from Jordan to target Iranian drones and missiles that are directed towards occupied Palestine to target Tel Aviv, Haifa, Acre, Eilat, Dimona and other occupied Palestinian cities.
The article continues by emphasizing: Transforming Iraq into a front for confrontation and resistance in Iran’s defensive stronghold is a major pivotal development in the current war and a huge point of strength for resisting American and Israeli aggression. We see the initial signs of this development in the repeated targeting of the American embassy in Baghdad and the Green Zone, which constitutes the headquarters of American influence and occupation.
Yemen’s surprise for the invaders
Atwan stated: The heavy losses of the United States and Israel in this war have begun with force, and the number of American deaths, according to censored news, has reached about 16 in less than two weeks; in addition to the targeting of the aircraft carriers Lincoln and Gerald Ford, and the infliction of more than two thousand deaths and injuries on the Israelis, the complete destruction of Tel Aviv, and the flight of hundreds of thousands of settlers in search of safety. Most importantly, the Iranian regime, which the aggressors intended to overthrow and replace with another puppet regime, is increasing its power, expansion, and consolidation.
The famous Arabic-speaking analyst concluded his article by emphasizing that we are now waiting for the opening of the Yemeni front, which could be decisive at any moment, and that Sayyid Abdul Malik al-Houthi, the leader of the Ansar Allah movement, has paved the way for this step by saying that “our finger is on the trigger” in his latest speech. Therefore, the coming days may be full of “shocking surprises” for the two aggressors, Israel and America, and we will wait.
