Libya, Syria, Ukraine; three scenes, one director

PNN – What is happening to Ukraine today is not unlike Libya, except that Ukraine is a European country and an ally of the United States.

Less than a year after the fall of the Libyan dictator in 2011, I interviewed a university professor in the country. I asked him about the conditions in Libya after Gaddafi. He said that during Gaddafi’s time, there was a dictatorship in the country and the people were not happy with the conditions, but after he was killed by his European allies, the situation became much worse. Gaddafi – with whatever intentions – had considered special economic privileges for young people and families, and security was also in place, but it seems that these conditions no longer exist, and the Libyan people will no longer dream of these conditions. What emerged after his fall was neither democracy nor stability; rather, it was chaos, collapse, and disintegration (quote). When this interview was conducted, a power vacuum had prevailed in the country, and Western countries had invaded to plunder its oil. In every corner of the country, a military man had raised the flag of independence and secession, and Libya had fallen into fundamental chaos. Ten years after the fall of Gaddafi, Euronews wrote: Although the Libyan dictator was killed, his death failed to establish democracy or stability in the country. On the contrary, the country has been embroiled in internal conflicts, foreign rivalries, and tensions between mafia militias for a decade. The competition for control over the resources of this oil-rich country has deprived the people of Libya of peace and stability.

What is happening in Ukraine today is not unlike Libya, except that Ukraine is a European and an ally of the United States. The United States needed Ukraine to contain Russia and weaken this traditional and powerful ally. But surprisingly, 3 years, 2 months, and 9 days after the start of this war, America stood by Russia and identified Ukraine as the cause of the war; gave the Crimean peninsula to Putin and took the country’s mines and natural resources for itself! Now Ukraine is left with a humiliated leader and a ruined country…!

Worse than dictators and clowns who rise to power are those suits and ties that never stop saying “democracy,” “free elections,” and “the people.” They create dictators and exploit them to the fullest. Didn’t this group exploit Gaddafi? Didn’t the former French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, go on trial and be convicted of accepting large sums of money from Gaddafi to win the election? The blue-eyed tycoons support not only dictators but also ISIS and Takfiri terrorists, and they threaten the lives, property, and honor of the people.
