PNN – Following the withdrawal of the American and Israeli delegations from the Gaza ceasefire talks in Doha, scenarios have been proposed regarding the fate of these talks, and informed sources emphasize that the aim of this maneuvers by the United States and Israel is to extract large and damaging concessions from Hamas.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the new round of Gaza ceasefire negotiations, which began more than two weeks ago in Doha, the capital of Qatar, has entered a stage of pressure and card-shoving after the announcement of the withdrawal of the US and Israeli delegations from the negotiations and warnings about the possibility of escalating military clashes.

New US and Israel maneuver in Gaza ceasefire case by withdrawing from negotiations

The indirect negotiations between the Israeli regime and Hamas are witnessing very sensitive developments amid the sudden change in the US position and the intensification of the country’s political maneuvers with Israel, aimed at disrupting the atmosphere surrounding these negotiations. Several informed sources reported that despite the withdrawal of the American and Israeli delegations from the Doha talks under the pretext of consultations, the path to negotiations has not yet been completely closed; rather, it has entered a new phase that is accompanied by systematic pressure and card-playing with the aim of scoring points.

Until last Thursday evening, American assessments indicated that Hamas’ response was not a real obstacle to reaching a ceasefire agreement; rather, it contained elements that could be relied upon to advance negotiations. Accordingly, US envoy Steve Whittaker established contacts with Egyptian and Qatari mediators to prepare for a new round of planned Doha talks.

The Doha talks have not collapsed.

According to Al-Akhbar newspaper, informed sources in Cairo and Doha believe that these events do not mean the collapse of the negotiations; rather, they are a temporary suspension before resumption; especially since the current obstacles are not more complex than those that were previously resolved.

The sources emphasized that the United States is not fundamentally opposed to reaching a ceasefire agreement, but is trying to use maximum pressure tools to extract the most concessions from Hamas, especially regarding Israel’s plans to withdraw from Gaza, post-ceasefire guarantees, and the issue of humanitarian aid entering the Strip.

The American network CNN reported that the mediators are still discussing ways to reach an agreement in the near future. The Hebrew-language Kan network also quoted an informed Israeli source as saying that the gaps with Hamas are not significant and can be bridged. The Hebrew newspaper Israel Hayom also reported that Hamas has not accurately assessed the Israeli and American reactions to its proposals, but the negotiations have not yet collapsed, and internal consultations are currently underway in Tel Aviv to reach a possible solution in the negotiations in the coming days after the atmosphere calms down.

Deceptive maneuver by the US and Israel to gain points in negotiations

But yesterday, Donald Trump, by claiming that Hamas does not want an agreement, gave the Zionists a green light to continue the war against Gaza, claiming that the release of the last hostages (Zionist prisoners) will make Hamas realize what awaits it, and that is why it refuses to reach an agreement. It is very difficult for Hamas to accept the agreement because it will lose its shield and cover.

Netanyahu also said that his cabinet is exploring alternative options with the United States to return the hostages (Zionist prisoners) and end Hamas rule in Gaza.

Following these remarks, Netanyahu held a small security meeting with senior military and security officials yesterday to discuss developments in the war and the negotiations. Meanwhile, the Israel Radio and Television Authority, citing sources, announced that the Israeli army had presented to the cabinet a plan to blockade Gaza and divide it into different areas with the aim of tiring Hamas and the people of Gaza.

According to reports from Hebrew sources, the plan includes military maneuvers in areas where Israeli prisoners are believed to be held, although Israeli security services have so far opposed the plan.

The Israeli TV channel 13 also reported that Israel is considering large-scale military action in Gaza, along with pressure on Hamas leaders abroad.

At the same time, the Zionist far-right has also intensified its rhetoric, including Uri Strok, a minister in Netanyahu’s extremist cabinet, who called for the continuation and intensification of military attacks against the Gaza Strip. Itamar Ben-Gweir, the fascist Minister of Internal Security of the Zionist regime, also said that all aid to Gaza should be stopped, the strip should be occupied, Hamas should be destroyed, and the people of Gaza should be displaced outside the strip. Bezalel Smotrich, the fascist Minister of Finance of the Zionist regime, also repeated the alleged slogan of “absolute victory” over Gaza, saying that “negotiations with the terrorists are over.

Negotiations will resume on Monday.

An Egyptian source said in this regard that the mediators have informed the Hamas leadership and its negotiating team that the negotiations have not been stopped, and the Israeli and American sides told the Egyptian and Qatari mediators that the negotiating teams will return to Doha next Monday to resume negotiations.

The source emphasized: The mediators have received clear information from a senior American official that the American delegation will return to Doha on Sunday evening to resume negotiations.

The US and Israel are seeking a unilateral agreement in line with Tel Aviv’s goals.

On the other hand, a Hamas leader familiar with the negotiations said: What has happened is a pre-planned intention by Israel and the US to undermine the negotiations process and hold Hamas responsible if an agreement is not reached, and this only serves Tel Aviv’s goals.

He clarified: Witkoff’s recent statements about negotiations are within the framework of the negotiating style and approach that the Americans and Israelis are pursuing to force the resistance to make harmful concessions and accept an agreement that does not meet any of the demands of the Palestinian people. At the same time, the Americans and the Zionists continue to exert pressure by intensifying the siege on Gaza and preventing the entry of aid and food.
