Notes on Israel’s massive attacks on Syria; The reward for loyalty

PNN – Golani, who has failed in its efforts to disguise its terrorist image, has effectively put Syria at risk of disintegration by turning it into a haven for the Zionists, and finds itself in a situation where its shelf life for the American axis is coming to an end.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Within hours of the fall of the Bashar al-Assad government in Syria on December 8, 2024, the country became a haven for Zionists, and since then, the Israeli occupying regime has been systematically occupying strategic areas of Syria from the south to the gates of Damascus, in addition to almost completely destroying Syria’s military capacity through successive attacks during which a large number of Syrian citizens were massacred.

How did Golani turn Syria into a haven for Zionists?

During this time, southern Syria, and specifically the province of Quneitra, has been completely occupied by the Zionists, and the residents of this region have been suffering under the shadow of the crimes that the occupying regime is committing against them, from the killing of people to their forced displacement. But the new Syrian government, consisting of extremist groups led by the terrorist group Tahrir al-Sham, led by Abu Muhammad al-Julani (Ahmad al-Sharaa), a famous ISIS terrorist with a new mask, is turning a deaf ear to these cries of the people.

But aggression and occupation are not the only project of the Zionist regime in Syria, and the occupiers are not content with this; rather, Israel has openly sought to divide Syria and does not hesitate to directly refer to this issue. Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the occupation regime, Israel Katz, the Minister of War, and other Zionist officials have repeatedly spoken of the continuation of the occupation and efforts to divide Syria.

The Druze community, Israel’s strategic card for the division of Syria

Meanwhile, the Druze card is considered the most important tool of the Zionist regime to advance its separatist goals inside Syria; especially since there are those among the country’s Druze community who are known for serving and collaborating with the Zionists.

In this regard, the occupying regime was able to attract Sheikh “Mufaq Tarif”, the head of the Druze tribe in occupied Palestine; someone who is known to be a mercenary for the Zionist regime and has ties to the Mossad spy service, and as reported by Hebrew media, is supposed to implement the plan to transfer gas from northern Syria to occupied Palestine after Bashar al-Assad in Syria.

To this end, Zionist officials recently met with Tarif and discussed the latest developments in Syria and their impact on the Druze. According to Hebrew media reports, in a meeting between Shlomi Bandar, head of the Israeli army’s military intelligence department (AMAN), and the head of the Druze tribe, they emphasized deepening relations between the Syrian Druze community and the Israeli army and building new bridges of communication between them.

Over time, it has become clear that Mowafq Tarif is not alone in his connections with the Zionists; rather, he has a large team, a number of whose members work in the Israeli military and other institutions of the regime. He gradually became a great political octopus who was able to weave Arab and international relations together and became a key executor of Israeli orders, with the mission of aligning Druze in various communities with the occupiers.

Golani paved the way for Zionist influence in Syria’s Druze community

However, over the past few days, within the framework of the severe chaos that has arisen inside Syria since the Golani government came to power, severe armed clashes have occurred in the Ashrafi Sahnaya town on the outskirts of Damascus, which is a Druze-populated area, between elements affiliated with the Golani government and local groups in the town. These clashes were sporadic and continuous, using weapons such as mortars, medium machine guns, and even armed drones. During these clashes, residential areas were targeted and many were killed.

At the same time, security elements affiliated with Golani also attacked Jaramana in the Damascus suburbs and clashed with members of the Druze tribe there.

On the other hand, a group called the Mountain Brigade in the Druze-populated province of Sweida in southern Syria announced in a statement that the Damascus government is cunning, and its interests lie in creating sectarian strife in Syria.  We warn the new government in Damascus to prevent the encroachment of Takfiris and dedicated terrorists into the Ashraf Sahnaya area, and if the government in Damascus is unable to do so, it must bear full responsibility for whatever happens.

But in the meantime, the Zionist regime, which misses no opportunity to capitalize on the chaos occurring in Syria, especially if it is near Damascus, has directly entered the Druze conflict with the Golani government, claiming to support the Druze tribe in Syria.

The Israeli regime, which is carrying out unprecedented aggressions against Syria by taking advantage of the suspicious international silence and the inaction of the Golan government, launched an airstrike yesterday around the country’s presidential palace in Damascus.

The Prime Minister’s Office and the Israeli Ministry of War announced in a joint statement that the Israeli Air Force attacked an area near the Syrian presidential palace in Damascus, and that the attack was a warning to the Syrian regime to end its attacks on the Druze.

In this statement, the Zionist authorities claimed that the purpose of this attack was to warn the head of the Syrian government, Ahmed al-Sharaa, to prevent attacks against the Druze.

Accordingly, the Zionist regime, while using all available means to weaken Syria as much as possible, seeks to create permanent chaos in the country; a goal that has been achieved so far in the shadow of the Golani government’s lack of planning, repression, and passivity.

Syria in the Heart of a Conspiracy to Dismember

The occupying regime also believes that the more pressure it puts on Syria, the more concessions it can obtain from the Golani government in possible future negotiations to conclude a normalization agreement, so as to drag Syria into compromise without giving it any significant concessions.

In this context, Muhannad Mustafa, an expert in the strategic affairs of the Zionist regime, believes that for decades, Israel considered the Druze an important strategic card for influencing Syria, but with the fall of the Bashar al-Assad government, the Zionists’ practical moves to use this card expanded.

The Arabic-speaking analyst emphasized: Israel believes that it can strengthen the Druze separatist identity in Syria with the help of Druze leaders inside Syria and the ability to connect with the country’s Druze community. It is clear that Israel is seeking to weaken Syria as much as possible and deepen its influence in the country through the Druze card, and it wants to use the blood alliance between the Zionists and the Druze who are present in the Israeli army to attract the attention of the Syrian Druze community.

Liqa Makki, a senior researcher at the Al Jazeera Center for Studies, believes that Israel has always used minorities in various countries, including Syria, as a way to influence them. For example, in Syria, it previously focused on the Kurds and is now focusing on the Druze.

He added: Syria could be subject to disintegration because Israel believes that Syria has become completely weakened and therefore has based its plans on the fragility of the country’s new government and its internal disputes.

Golani was rewarded for his good service to America and Israel

The Golani government, which has been a mere spectator of the Zionist regime’s aggression and occupation since it came to power, while continuing to suppress the Syrian people, claimed that it would not negotiate or compromise on Syria’s sovereignty or security and would continue to defend the rights of the people with all means.

This verbal and inadequate stance of the Golani government comes at a time when it has been proven throughout this period that Golani has been merely a pawn dependent on the American axis in Syria whose shelf life is coming to an end and will soon become a burnt pawn.

Observers believe that Golani has largely sensed the danger of his downfall and the end of his useful life for the United States and its partners, and may want to prevent his premature downfall through some rhetorical stances, but it does not seem that his effectiveness will last long for the foreigners who brought him to power.
