In particular, “Saleh Al-Awaroi”, the deputy head of the political office of the Hamas movement, was also assassinated in Beirut a few months ago. Therefore, the Hamas movement must restore its leadership pyramid very quickly; In particular, it faces the challenges of the Israeli regime’s war against the Gaza Strip and the diplomatic and political measures related to the war, especially the negotiation with mediators to reach an agreement to end the war in the Gaza Strip and to complete the prisoner exchange agreement. Also, managing the internal situation of Hamas and aligning with post-war challenges in the event of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip also require it to repair its leadership pyramid very quickly. Now these questions are raised: Who will replace Martyr Haniyeh in the leadership of the political office of the Hamas movement? Is the fact that “Khalil al-Hiya” prayed over the body of Martyr Haniyeh in Doha a proof of his succession? Will “Khaled Meshaal” return to his position (as the head of the political office of the Hamas movement)? What are the characteristics of these two people? Will the Hamas movement choose a third name?

His relatives are aware of his strength, courage and good management in the external relations of the Hamas movement, and it cannot be denied that he is a very popular man with high public charisma. He and “Osame Hamdan”, one of the leaders of Hamas, are mentioned as two people’s personalities, humble and close to the people.

He was close to losing his life during the unsuccessful assassination attempt in Amman city in 1997 by the spy organization of the Zionist regime known as “Mossad”. He has extensive Arab and international relations and is a favorite figure of Qatar, Turkey, the Muslim Brotherhood and even some European countries.
In the end, this newspaper emphasized: These are all speculations, and it is possible that the Hamas movement will choose a name separate from these two people. Especially since this movement has an experienced staff and its young generation has proven that it has the ability to take responsibility and experience and is very capable. No matter who is the head of the Hamas movement and who this movement chooses, its will must be respected and whoever is chosen represents all the fighters and mujahids of the Hamas movement and represents the resistance option of the Palestinian nation.
