Raisi and Putin’s meeting; sensitivities and actions to a meeting

PNN – Overlapping and shared opinion on important regional and international issues between Raisi and Putin is a matter that can lead to the development and deepening of relations as much as possible. An issue that has not escaped the eyes of Washington and Tel Aviv and has caused them concern and criticism.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Mohammad Jamshidi, the Political Deputy of the President’s Office of our country, wrote on his virtual page on Friday regarding Seyed Ibrahim Raisi’s visit to Russia and his meeting with Vladimir Putin, his Russian counterpart: In the 3-hour private meeting between Mr. Raisi and Mr. Putin, the presidents of Iran and Russia, detailed and very useful discussions were held regarding bilateral and regional cooperation centered on Gaza. Dr. Raisi, recalling the successful experience of cooperation in the region, proposed some initiatives. It was decided that the two sides should coordinate their actions and goals.

Iran’s initiatives for regional cooperation

In his meeting with Putin, Raisi said, referring to the developing relations between the two countries and the cooperation between the two sides in the region: We have good cooperation with Russia in the fields of energy, agriculture and knowledge-based work, and in all fields we can take better steps towards the interests of both countries. Also, what is suffering humanity today is unilateralism and the unjust world system, the manifestation of which can be seen in Gaza and Palestine. What is happening in Palestine is a genocide and a crime against humanity. One of the issues that we will discuss with Mr. Putin is regarding Palestine and the oppressed and powerful people of Palestine. In Gaza, a child is killed every 10 minutes, and it is necessary to stop the bombings as soon as possible. This issue is not only the concern of our region but also the concern of humanity and a quick and immediate solution should be sought for it.

Putin: We actively promote relations with Iran in all fields

Putin also said in this meeting: We have several large infrastructure projects in the field of transportation and railways that are being implemented. The relations between the two countries are developing in the field of energy development and we have good relations in the field of education and academic subjects. We are actively working in all fields and we consider it important to exchange views on regional issues today. The plan to sign an agreement to establish free trade with Iran with the Eurasian Economic Commission is in Russia’s plan.

This meeting, which was held in line with the development of the 13th government’s relations with its neighbors, has also brought reactions, one of which is the Zionist regime.

Netanyahu’s concern about Tehran-Moscow relations

From the beginning, this meeting aroused sensitivities on the part of some parties and forced them to adopt diplomatic actions. In this context, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, referring to his phone call with Putin, announced that in his 50-minute conversation with the Russian president, Netanyahu criticized the relationship between Iran and Russia and called these relations dangerous.

He also criticized the anti-Israeli statements of the Russian representative in the United Nations.

Priority diplomacy of neighbors and deepening relations with Russia

Simultaneously with the development of relations between Iran and Russia over the past few years, which was caused by the government’s foreign policy of giving priority to its neighbors, as well as the Western pressure on Russia in the Ukraine war, which has brought Moscow closer to Tehran, we have witnessed the actions and policies are in common with the two countries in important regional and international issues and cases.

This cooperation was not liked by some countries, including the United States and the Zionist regime, and they have repeatedly expressed their anger and concern about these relations and cooperation at the regional and international level.

Tehran-Moscow cooperation for Gaza

One of the manifestations of this cooperation can be seen as the initial and persistent effort to establish a ceasefire in Gaza and prevent the attacks of the Zionist regime on the defenseless Palestinian people. Putin has emphasized this issue in his trips and meetings with regional and international counterparts.

In this context, Putin discussed with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi, who plays an important role in the Gaza crisis, about trying to provide more humanitarian aid needed to support the residents of Gaza. The parties also agreed to “continue to seriously achieve a ceasefire in this sector and also to ensure that the international community takes responsibility for achieving this goal.”

The immediate cessation of the war and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza are two important goals of Iran and are pursued in all the meetings of our country’s officials with regional and international counterparts.

Overlapping and sharing opinions on important regional and international issues between Iran and Russia is a matter that can lead to the development and deepening of relations as much as possible. An issue that has not escaped the eyes of Washington and Tel Aviv and has caused them concern and criticism.
