Results of the Israeli and American terrorist attack on Iran: Victory or failure in achieving the goals?
In recent days, the region witnessed one of the most dangerous and sensitive military confrontations in the Middle East; which continued for 12 days in the form of the Israeli-American aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. With the cessation of military operations, a fundamental question occupied the minds of decision-makers and analysts; Who won? And who lost?
The answer to this question should not be based on wishes and emotions, but rather on measuring the declared goals of the aggression and the extent to which they were realized, against the losses suffered by both sides. In this regard, we can point to the 10 strategic and tactical goals that Washington and Tel Aviv had set for this military aggression and compare them with what actually happened;
 1. Overthrowing the Islamic Republic of Iran and establishing a Western-oriented government allied with Israel, similar to some Arab regimes,
2. Creating political and social chaos, and inciting internal movements to collapse the government and its institutions from within,
3. Dividing Iran into states or units based on ethnicity and religion,
4. Threatening the Supreme Leader with assassination,
5. Collapse of the military structure and eliminating effective commanders in the Revolutionary Guard Corps and the army,
6. Destruction of vital infrastructure including energy, bridges, financial institutions, and research centers,
7. Destroying Iran’s nuclear project, reducing enriched uranium to zero, and completely preventing further enrichment,
8. Destroying Iran’s long-range missile capability,
9. Targeting military facilities and factories, especially those of a strategic nature,
10. Destroying Iran’s regional plan, which has manifested itself in the form of the Axis of Resistance.
None of these goals have been fully or even partially achieved;
1. The Islamic Republic did not fall, but rather emerged from the war with greater strength.
2. Iranian society emerged from the war with greater cohesion and immunity, and no chaos occurred; in fact, many opponents of the Islamic Republic also stood by the regime in word and deed, and the Iranian nation demonstrated unprecedented solidarity with the government and its leadership.
3. No separatist movements occurred; rather, different ethnicities and religions showed significant support for the unity of the country and national security.
4. The Supreme Leader remained at the head of the regime, and all religious, political, and military leaders continued their work without interruption.
 5. No part of the military structure collapsed, and apart from the martyrdom of 21 high-ranking IRGC commanders and the injury of several others, mostly recorded in the first hours of the Zionist regime’s terrorist operation, the decision-making structure in Iran quickly began to repair itself.
6. The infrastructure was not seriously damaged, and the Tehran Municipality announced that the reconstruction of the damaged residential and government buildings would be completed within a few months.
7. Iran’s nuclear project was not stopped; despite the damage to three centers, nine others remained intact, and all enriched uranium reserves, including 420 kilograms with an enrichment of 60%, were preserved, and enrichment was not stopped even for a day. Also, although Iran lost ten of its nuclear scientists, hundreds of other scientists continue to work.
8. Iran’s missile capability is still active and operational; Only 600 long-range missiles out of a total of 25,000 were used, less than 3% of Iran’s arsenal.
9. There was no significant damage to military installations; while estimates suggest that only 1% of Iran’s total defense capabilities were damaged.
10. The axis of resistance or “regional Shiite axis” emerged from the war with greater confidence and dynamism; its groups and bases in Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, and other countries witnessed a revival of discourse and significant popular presence, while the enemies of the axis of resistance suffered despair and psychological defeat, while they spent the days of the war hoping for the collapse of the axis of resistance and threatening its supporters with destruction.
