PNN – Contrary to the enemy’s calculations, Iran was able to quickly seize the initiative and turn the tables by neutralizing the initial blow.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Al-Mayadeen Network, continuing its analysis of the current war between Iran, the United States, and the Zionist regime, examined the dimensions and effects of this war in the short and long term, and how Iran once again turned the tables in favor of the axis of resistance in the region, as explained below.
Rapid defeat of the goals of American-Zionist aggression against Iran
The impact and effectiveness of the treacherous Israeli-American attack that targeted the Islamic Republic of Iran on the morning of February 28 cannot be underestimated. Nor can the magnitude of the losses that Iran suffered on that bloody morning be denied or concealed, and foremost among these losses was the martyrdom of Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Supreme Leader and captain of the ship of the Iranian people and system and all free people for more than four and a half decades.
It is clear that the main goal of the aggressive war of the US and the Zionist regime against Iran was to overthrow the Islamic regime, take full control of power, and transform this beloved and powerful republic into a submissive regime that submits to the will of the US and Israel; as is true of most of the regimes in the region. This unjust war revealed the complete alignment of the Arab countries of the region with the axis of evil and, in fact, their transformation into a shield to protect the rebellious Zionist regime.
The United States, under President Donald Trump, in addition to trying to overthrow the Islamic regime in Iran, which since the revolution has become the most bitter enemy of Israel, the United States, and other members of the “axis of evil” and is now practically the only supporter of the resistance forces in the region, also sought to control Iran’s oil, gas, and other resources as part of its war aims, just as it did with Venezuela and intends to do in other parts of the world.
In addition, there is an effort by the US and the Zionist regime to redraw the geopolitical map of the region to make Israel the sole ruler of the region and make all countries subservient to this regime.
Since the victory of the revolution, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been like a lonely bird amidst all kinds of problems and crises, and for many years, the United States and its allies have been seeking an opportunity for a widespread war and the destruction of the country’s system through all kinds of conspiracies, including subversive movements within Iran.
How did Iran regain the initiative?
Furthermore, in the current war, the Islamic Republic of Iran has succeeded in seizing the initiative in most areas and shifting from a defensive to an offensive mode, putting its enemies in a bind and leaving them with limited options.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is now at the forefront of global forces opposing the hegemonic and colonial powers. On the political level, after the United States succeeded in pushing many countries towards its hardline stance against Iran under various pretexts, including force and threats, the Islamic Republic of Iran, through its vast military resources and domestic production capabilities, was able to regain control of the intense conflict and turn the tide in its favor, despite the scale of its casualties and sacrifices.
This came as a surprise to Iran’s enemies and the resistance, and even to many of its supporters and sympathizers. The disparity in power, the imbalance in capabilities, and the treacherous and unexpected attack that struck at the heart of the regime had led many to believe that the Iranian regime and its governing institutions were likely to collapse – even within days; as the madman Trump and his master (referring to Netanyahu), a war criminal wanted by the International Criminal Court, who is hiding in Tel Aviv, wish.
However, the qualitative military response of Iran that unfolded in this conflict, targeting all American bases in the region, especially the central base known as “Israel”, as well as all security and intelligence centers and spy nests that were believed to be out of reach of Iranian intelligence – especially since they were located in residential buildings and high-rise towers in many countries in the region – was very surprising.
Stabilizing Tehran’s narrative and defeating the enemy’s calculations about internal collapse in Iran
Economically, Iran, despite being under crippling sanctions for over forty-seven years and enduring widespread attacks, with its enemies targeting some of its natural resources, seaports, and even many of its vital manufacturing plants, has managed to overcome its challenges and thwart attempts to strangle and drain its resources. Indeed, even in the midst of American-Zionist aggression, Iran has increased its oil production beyond pre-war levels and has successfully exported significant quantities of oil, challenging its enemies.
On a parallel front, Iran has also managed to increase the cost of war for its enemies, and with unparalleled cunning, it now controls more than a quarter of the world’s oil and gas exports, and has successfully forced many countries to request permission for their tankers to pass through the vital and strategic Strait of Hormuz. Also, despite Trump’s threats to force the Strait of Hormuz open, not a single tanker has passed through the Strait without prior approval from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps since the war began.
On the domestic economic front, Iran has also managed to meet all of its people’s food and medicine needs. According to foreign media reports, no shortages have been recorded in Iranian markets and no signs of economic collapse have been observed, as its enemies had hoped. This has had a positive impact on the entire Iranian people and has strengthened their trust in the Islamic system and their government, which is working diligently to meet their needs and provide everything they need in these difficult and sensitive times.
The mainstream media landscape has also witnessed a qualitative and decisive shift. The Iranian narrative about the ongoing aggression and Iran’s right to respond has gone far beyond the American and Israeli narratives. Although Iran’s enemies own most of the world’s media empires and receive support from major television channels, including Arab television channels, these channels have been discredited to an unprecedented degree.
This has led many of the world’s most prominent journalists, along with millions on social media, to call Trump and his narcissistic ally in Tel Aviv (Netanyahu) liars. Most of the statements made by the Americans and Zionists, along with those made by their military and political spokesmen, have been highly controversial, even in their own media, and have become the subject of ridicule and mockery.
Iran turns the tables on the Axis of Resistance
But the regaining of the initiative was not limited to the Islamic Republic of Iran, but also spread to other resistance fronts, especially in Lebanon and Iraq. Some believed that these fronts had retreated to heal their wounds and regain strength after suffering losses, especially those inflicted on Hezbollah in Lebanon. However, this powerful and influential party, like the Islamic resistance groups in Iraq, returned with unexpected strength and surprised everyone, especially the Israeli enemy.
The enemy mistakenly thought that it had dealt Hezbollah the biggest blow in its history, as the criminal Netanyahu had been promoting. But Hezbollah surprised even its supporters and admirers, who had been disillusioned, especially after the series of unanswered Israeli attacks over the past year. Hezbollah’s lack of response to the Zionist aggression over the past year had created the impression that Hezbollah had lost its power and was unwilling or unable to confront the Zionist enemy again.
However, what has happened since Hezbollah joined the fight against the criminal enemy and the remarkable achievements that this movement has made have turned the page and the picture upside down, completely undermining Israel’s previous narrative, which was welcomed by Hezbollah’s enemies and the resistance inside and outside Lebanon.
In any case, after more than two weeks since the start of Iran’s “True Promise 4” operation in response to the crimes of its enemies, and after Hezbollah in Lebanon joined it, all possibilities seem open. Therefore, the next stage seems very sensitive and complex, and the region and perhaps the world is ready for significant events and geopolitical changes, some of the consequences of which may even lead to international crises and global upheavals.
However, the only constant in all that is happening is that the enemies of the Islamic Ummah have chosen the most difficult path to achieve their goal, taking a path fraught with many dangers, being deceived by excessive power, and becoming arrogant.
