PNN – “Abdulbari Atwan”, an analyst of the Arab world, referring to the verbal confrontation between the presidents of the United States and Ukraine, said that the battle between them is the beginning of the end of both and the collapse of the Western camp.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting Rai Alyoum, Atwan, referring to what happened between US President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky in Washington, wrote: Trump’s mistake in dealing with Zelensky was that he thought he was on the side of one of the heads of the Arab countries and did not think that Zelensky would answer him with unexpected courage, get into a verbal argument with him in front of the television cameras and never apologize and leave the US very quickly, without signing the trade agreement.
He added: The leaders of the Arab countries can learn three lessons from this event; first, straining out of fear against America is not diplomacy, especially if you are on the side of a bully like Trump.
Second, whoever seeks military or financial aid from the United States, must expect insults and pay for his security and dignity, as well as heavy concessions.
Third, learning from the quick and united reaction of European countries and the support of the President of Ukraine against the President of the United States, who considers himself the leader of the Western world.

Atwan continued: Resistance against American and Israeli coercion has far less consequences than giving in and straining against them. The editor-in-chief of Rai Alyoum further considered the leaders of China and Russia as the winners of this verbal dispute and the difference between the Western camp of Europe and America, and called Trump as the worst president of the United States and a danger to this country and Washington’s western allies.
He added: America has lost the war in Ukraine. It is unlikely that the battle between Zelensky and Trump will be the beginning of the end of both and the collapse of the Western and NATO camps and the emergence of BRICS.
Zelensky’s meeting with Trump at the White House on Friday turned into a verbal dispute, and the Ukrainian president left the White House in an unexpected move.
The tension came after Trump reiterated his position to reduce US aid to Ukraine and focus on negotiations with Russia. On the other hand, Zelensky, who is worried about the reduction of the financial and military aid of the United States, described Trump’s approach as a “blow to European security”.
In response, Trump accused Zelensky of “disrespecting the United States” and emphasized that he is not ready for peace.
