PNN – The relations of some Muslim governments with the West, especially the United States, will experience challenges and even gaps after the recent meeting in Riyadh. Gaps that are one of the long-term goals of the doctrine of the Islamic Republic of Iran and enable Tehran to pursue the interests of the Muslim Ummah in these gaps.
According to Pakistan News Network, the capital of Saudi Arabia, hosted 57 Muslim leaders and officials on the 20th of November to bring a united voice of the nation of Muhammad (pbuh) against the crimes of the Zionist regime to the world. The meeting was held with the unceasing efforts of the Iranian government and “Syed Ebrahim Raeesi” whose voice, although it was spiteful, showed an authority that was rooted in the same oppression.
Collaboration with Muslim leaders
Raisi met with his Muslim and Arab counterparts after the meeting of the heads of the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. One of the most important meetings was the meeting with the president of Egypt and Palestine, the first and main axis of this meeting; An important visit, considering all the variables governing the relations between the two countries. In this meeting, the president mentioned one of the most important peace meetings, which was held on October 29 in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, and ended with the disruption of Western countries, without any achievements or even a positive statement. According to the president, “this positive initiative could be a turning point in ending the crimes committed by the Zionists in the massacre of defenseless and innocent women and children in Gaza. But the Western countries that support the Zionist regime, just as they did not allow the Security Council and other international organizations to take effective action to stop these crimes, they also prevented this meeting from being fruitful.”
Raisi also considered the blocking of the Rafah border contrary to the propaganda created against Egypt as a result of Western pressures, but he also spoke of the necessity of overcoming these pressures. Abdul Fattah al-Sisi considered his country the main victim of the consequences of the events in Palestine and Gaza. The Raisi-El-Sisi meeting was one of the most important meetings on the sidelines of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation meeting. Both for the sake of exchanging views on the most important issue of the Islamic world, namely Palestine, and also because of the new sapling that was planted in the 13th government in relation to Egypt, and which is coming to life these days.
The young crown prince of Saudi Arabia hosted Raisi
After eleven years, after seven years and after nine months. These dates are particularly important in Ayatollah Raisi’s visit to Saudi Arabia on Saturday. The last visit of an official of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Saudi Arabia was 11 years ago. Tehran and Riyadh experienced tense relations for seven years, and finally, nine months ago, these tensions ended under the shadow of neighbor-oriented policy and tolerance towards the region. The meeting with the young Saudi crown prince in Riyadh was a turning point and the solidarity of the two countries against the crimes of the Zionist regime. In this meeting, the development of bilateral relations and regional cooperation was discussed and emphasized, and the parties agreed to discuss bilateral issues and regional issues in detail in the future.
Meeting with the leaders of the resistance axis
During his attendance at the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Riyadh, the President met with the leaders of the resistance countries and discussed the latest situation of developments in the field in Gaza. The presence of Syrian President Bashar Assad in the meeting of heads of Islamic and Arab countries after a decade of rejecting Syria from Arab countries was one of the most attractive points of this meeting, and the meeting of the presidents of Iran and Syria in the capital of Saudi Arabia added to this attraction. Raisi and Assad, as the two axes of resistance against the aggression of the Zionist regime, emphasized the continuation of this resistance on the one hand and its spread to other Muslim lands. Assad appreciated Raisi’s enlightened and supportive positions, and the Iranian president emphasized on stopping the crimes in Gaza.

One of the most important of these meetings was the meeting with “Najib Mikati”, the Prime Minister of Lebanon’s government as one of the resistance axis countries, which Raisi considered the basis of the resistance to be based on deterring and preventing the aggression of the enemies, and emphasizing that the actions of the Islamic resistance of Hezbollah Lebanon is based on wisdom and rationality, but the Zionist regime has no logic and understands no language except force, he stated: If this summit does not come to a conclusion, it is feared that the nations will come to the field themselves.
Miqati also considered the mere expression of sympathy for the people of Gaza to be insufficient and appreciated and thanked the president’s diplomatic efforts for convergence in the Islamic world around the Palestinian issue and taking practical measures to help the oppressed people of Gaza.
The Prime Minister of Malaysia was another Muslim official who met with the President of Iran at the Riyadh meeting. As two Islamic countries, Tehran and Kuala Lumpur, defenders of the rights of the oppressed Palestinian people, specified the implementation of the provisions of the Riyadh Declaration. Raeesi stated that the countries that were in favor of surrender and compromise and were conservative towards the Zionist regime, are regretful today, even if they do not express this feeling: The defeat of the Zionist regime against the resistance will not be compensated in any way. “Anwar Ibrahim” also emphasized on stopping the support of countries supporting the Zionist regime.
Mauritanian President Mohamed Wold Al-Sheikh Ahmed Al-Ghazwani, Sudanese Government Council Chairman Abdul Fattah Burhan, Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu were other heads of African Muslim countries who met and talked with Raeesi on the sidelines of the Riyadh meeting. In these meetings, the President described the Zionist regime as a great calamity for the Islamic Ummah and the whole world: he considered the Zionist regime to be the root of many sufferings in the world, Islamophobia, Iranophobia and discord in the Islamic world and the African continent. Tasht in the Islamic world is the reason for the audacity and crime of the Zionist regime in Gaza and the solution of the problems of the Islamic world depends on the unity and cohesion of the Islamic countries.
Challenging Washington in Riyadh
One month and five days have passed since October 7, 2023, and this means one month and four days have passed since the beginning of the Zionist regime’s war crime against the homeless people of Gaza and the beginning of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s measures to end this crime. Tehran started consultations and phone calls with world officials, especially Islamic countries, one day after the beginning of Tel Aviv’s barbarism. Iran’s effort became so widespread and effective that any action other than holding a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and making a decisive decision about the crimes of the Zionist regime was not accepted. One of the most important goals of the Islamic Republic of Iran in insisting and following up on holding this meeting was to unite all Muslim lands against the Zionist regime, and considering the total struggles of Tel Aviv to normalize relations with Muslim countries, this unity was more difficult to analyze than ever.
Distinguishing the speech of Raeesi from other heads of speakers
Raeesi at the meeting of heads of Islamic cooperation began with verse 39 of Surah Hajj, where the president of Iran read: Jihad has been given to those on whom war has been imposed; because they have been oppressed; And God is able to help them.” The entire view of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the Gaza crisis lies in this verse. Based on this verse, Tehran believes that: A: war has been imposed on the oppressed people of Gaza; Since the Zionist regime has been occupying the native and historical lands of these people for more than 6 decades and displaced or martyred them with the support of America. The Qur’an gives permission for jihad to the people who have been oppressed in this way and advises them, and ultimately God is their helper. The verses of the Qur’an are a divine security thread for Muslims, and Raisi was the only head of Islamic countries who started his speech with its verses and ended his speech with greetings to the children of Gaza: Greetings to the children who tremble from the horror of oppression, greetings to you who portrayed the ferocity and brutality of the occupying Zionists with your small hands and thin bodies. The anger in the voice of a leader in the gathering of the heads of Islamic countries was a symbol of the oppressed children of Gaza, but the words that were conveyed to the ears of the Israeli war room in this anger are also a symbol of authority that has its roots in the lives of the same oppressed children.
Reflecting the presence of the President in the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation
Raisi’s visit to Riyadh was noticed by the world’s prestigious media and well-known political and media activists. CNN described Raisi’s presence in Saudi Arabia after eleven years since the last visit of an official from Iran to this country as “interesting”. Civil, political and media activists of the world also evaluated the speech of the President of Iran at the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation as different from the views of other leaders of the Islamic world. Finally, one of the most thoughtful views about this trip and the presence of the president is an analysis quoted by Al-Monitor, which acknowledged the importance of Iran-Turkey relations becoming warmer as a result of supporting Palestine.
