According to the Pakistan News Network, 88 days have passed since the beginning of the war in Gaza, and this war, in addition to heavy military and security losses, has also resulted in huge economic losses for the Israeli regime, and at the same time, this regime has been forced to increase its military budget with a significant jump compared to previous years to 37 billion dollars.
According to the American Stimson think tank, it is expected that Israel’s military budget will reach 37 billion dollars this year, and this amount is not including the vast financial and military aid of the United States.
Israel’s military budget last year (2023) was 31 billion dollars, and another 8 billion dollars were added to it during the last two months of the year. The military budget of this regime in 2022 was about 23 billion dollars.
Israel’s damage of 85 billion dollars from the Gaza war
Meanwhile, Amir Yaron, head of the Central Bank of Israel, said in a press interview that since the beginning of the war in Gaza, this regime has suffered financial losses of more than 85 billion dollars.
The huge economic damage in just 88 days has even affected the conditions on the ground in Gaza.
In this regard, the Israeli regime recently announced the withdrawal of its 5 military brigades from Gaza; The Israeli army has declared “their return to the economic cycle” as the reason for this action. This shows that the Israeli army has widely relied on the reserve forces in the battle of Gaza, forces that are considered ordinary people and each of them has their own business and economic activity, and this issue has a significant impact on the Israeli economy.
The cost of 269 million Israeli Shekel for each day of the war
The Bloomberg website also reported that the Zionist regime uses a large number of expensive missiles for its air attacks on Gaza, as well as intercepting missiles and drones that are fired at the occupied territories.
In this regard, according to the documents of the Ministry of Finance of the Zionist regime, which have been made available to the parliament of this regime, Tel Aviv is going to increase its military budget by eight billion dollars in 2024 (this year) with the continuation of the Gaza war.
According to this report, the total budget of the Zionist regime for 2024 will be equal to 562 billion shekels (155 billion dollars), while the total budget of the previous Zionist regime that was approved was equal to 513 billion shekels.
According to the Bloomberg report, the defense budget of the Zionist regime will apparently increase by at least 30 billion shekels next year, which is a confirmation of the high costs of the Gaza war for the Zionist regime.
Reports show that the war in Gaza costs Israel at least 269 million dollars per day, and the work of the American financial and business services company “Moody’s” has estimated that this war will cause the most severe blow to the economy of the Zionist regime compared to previous wars.
According to the Bloomberg report, in addition to the military budget, the Zionist regime has allocated 10 billion shekels for the evacuation of about 120 thousand people from the northern and southern border areas of the occupied territories, as well as increasing the budget for the police and security services of this regime, as well as the reconstruction of the Zionist settlements that were destroyed in the Gaza war.
The war in Gaza will last six months
Meanwhile, an Israeli official (Monday) told Reuters news agency without mentioning his name that the third phase of the war in Gaza will last 6 months.
Stating that the war at this stage will be “very difficult”, this Israeli source said that the war in the third stage will include limited and specific operations to target the leaders and commanders of the resistance in Gaza. He also announced that the soldiers of this regime are being prepared and equipped to move towards the northern front (Lebanon border).
