PNN – The controversial statements of the extreme minister of the Zionist regime Betzleil Smotrich are so sharp and controversial that even America and France have banned him from traveling to their countries.
According to Pakistan News Network, there is hardly a day when the statements of “Betzleil Smotrich”, the extremist finance minister of the Zionist regime, are not the subject of various regional media and even the domestic media of the Zionist regime. Recently, in his latest statements, he had the illusion that nearly 2 million Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip were forced to migrate and that the Israeli army had successfully completed its deadlocked operation in Gaza, and that Hamas forces, weapons and military power to destroy it, he claimed that Zionist settlements should be established in Gaza in order to remove the danger of this area from Israel forever.
Raised in Talmudic schools
Al-Jazeera website in an article examining the background of this Zionist minister, who was brought up in extreme Talmudic schools in the occupied territories, points out and emphasizes that he is a member of the right-wing Jewish parties and after being elected as a member of the Zionist Parliament in 2015 and in charge of the Religious Zionist Party, he entered the cabinet in 2020 onwards and recently held the position of the Ministry of Finance and Civil Administration in the Ministry of War of the Zionist regime.
He was born in the Zionist settlement of “Beit Il” in the occupied territories of Palestine. He joined the army at the age of 28. From the beginning, he was a staunch supporter of the theory of an all-out attack on the Gaza Strip and wanted the cabinet to respect Talmudic laws and impose these laws on all Palestinians.
He always puts forward extremist views against Zionist leftists and Palestinians, and his immature positions are so many that even some of his close friends believe that he has mental disorders!
Inherent extremism
Smotrich was born in 1980 in the Zionist settlements of the occupied Golan, which have an extreme population structure. These settlements have been the center of religious Zionism since the beginning. His ancestors lived in Ukraine and moved to this region during the British protectorate over Palestine.
His father was a Zionist rabbi and one of the main members of the Torah cores that Rabbi Tesfi Yehuda Kook had sent to this region to establish Zionist settlements in the Golan.
He is married and has 7 children, and according to Haaretz Zionist newspaper, he lives in Kodomim town and in a house that does not have a construction permit. Even the 12 TV channel of the Zionist regime admits that he has built his house there by confiscating the personal properties of Palestinians near this settlement.
This Zionist minister studied in the religious and Talmudic schools of Zionism and got acquainted with the fundamentals of the extreme in the integration between the Jewish religion and the Zionist thought and entered the political atmosphere of the occupied territories as one of the extremist political elements among the rightists.
He also managed a Talmudic school in the Zionist settlement of Kodomim and is one of the founding members of the Syndicate of Talmudic High Schools in the occupied territories.
After entering the Zionist Knesset, Smotrich was elected as the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, as well as a member of the Finance Commission, the Internal Affairs and Environment Commission, the Government Oversight Commission, and the Foreign and Defense Affairs Commission.
In 2019, he briefly took over the position of the Ministry of Communications, and then in December 2022, he became a member of Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet and took over the Ministry of Finance. This choice was so daring that “Gadi Eisenkot”, the former chief of staff of the Zionist regime’s army, described his choice for this position as a “gamble”.
Bold behaviors in youth
At a time when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was looking for an alliance with the Arab list present in the Israeli Knesset elections, Smotrich strongly opposed this issue and described the Arabs as a strategic threat to Israel.
Although the Zionist settlers have a low status in the Zionist society, he still lives in the settlements and continues to widely support the construction of settlements and incite the destruction of Palestinian homes in the West Bank and the Negev region.
The main priority of the extreme minister
In 2015, he presented the settlement law to the Knesset to give more powers to the Zionist regime’s cabinet to demolish Palestinian homes and to confiscate more lands in the West Bank to expand settlements.
His political party introduced settlements and territorial integrity as one of its most important priorities, and in the 5th early elections, by using the extreme atmosphere in the Zionist society, it succeeded in becoming the third winner of the Knesset election list.
Racist positions
In addition to his extreme behavior, Smotrich has taken very racist positions against the Palestinians, which has been widely criticized internationally. His thoughts are so dangerous and extreme that the American and French officials banned his trip to Washington and Paris in 2023.
In March 2023, he said at a meeting in Paris: “There is no such thing as a Palestinian nation.” He also said in October 2021 to the representatives of the Arab Knesset of the Zionist regime: “The mistake of David Ben-Gurion, the former prime minister of Israel, was that he did not complete his mission and did not expel all of you from the lands of 1948.”
His racist attitudes are such that in April 2016, he called for the separation of the maternity ward between Jewish and Arab women in hospitals in the occupied territories. He claims that Palestinian women are a danger to the composition of the population in the occupied territories.
