The hidden hypocritic rationale for the Western world’s dual approach to defining “war crimes.”

The hidden hypocritic rationale for the Western world’s dual approach to defining “war crimes.”
While the West ignores the “war crimes” of the Zionist regime, when faced with similar actions by its opponents, it does not give up any effort to criticize these behaviors.

According to Isna, a few hours after the surprise attack by Hamas on the positions of the Zionist regime last Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his condolences on the X social network to all the Israelis who lost their “relatives or relatives in this terrorist attack” and He stressed on “Israel’s right to defend itself”!

Many other world leaders followed the same policy; From Rishi Sunak, the Prime Minister of England to Joe Biden in America and European Union officials like Ursula von der Leyen.

Meanwhile, last week, the Minister of War of the Zionist regime ordered the “complete siege” of the Gaza Strip; A decision that was associated with cutting off electricity, water and food shipments. In response to this decision of the Zionist regime, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported that this work has affected the lives of 610,000 people and could lead to an acute water shortage in this region. Also, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights today considered this action of the Zionist regime to be a violation of international laws.

However, von der Leyen, who is the president of the European Commission, wrote in a message on X: “Israel has the right to defend itself. “The European Union stands by Israel.”

But comparing recent statements by figures like von Derlein in support of Israel to their statements about other conflicts, such as the war in Ukraine, reveals a kind of double standard.

Last year, this European official said about Russian drone and missile attacks on power plants and other infrastructure in Ukraine: This is a terrorist act that is an example of a war crime!

But these contradictory statements are not limited to von Derlein. In a message on Twitter, Rishi Sonak called Hamas members “terrorists” and held the supporters of the resistance responsible for the recent conflicts. The Foreign Minister of Australia also expressed solidarity with the Zionist regime and said: I emphasize Israel’s right to defend itself.

The work of the Western authorities in supporting the Zionist regime has reached the point where a conflict has arisen among Israel’s allies; To the extent that “Tim Scott”, a member of the US Senate, accused the president of this country of not supporting Israel enough and even “collaborating with Hamas”! He said to Biden: “The blood of the Israelis is on your neck”!

Many social media users have also reacted to these dual policies of the West. Referring to the West’s complete support for Ukraine, a user wrote on the X social network that when Ukraine kills civilians in its attacks, the West turns a blind eye to this issue, but when the Palestinians rebel against the occupiers of their land and cause the deaths of civilians, the West labels them as A terrorist strikes.

UK-based journalist Aron Bastani wrote in X that there is clearly a double standard when it comes to the civilian casualties of the Ukraine attacks and Hamas attacks.

A user on X social network wrote: I don’t understand! When Ukraine retaliated against Russia, it was praised. But now that Palestine has done the same thing against Israel’s occupation, it will be condemned! Look at this propaganda from this point of view: the American empire is always oriented according to its own interests.

In addition to these reactions, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, said in his country’s parliament: Why are there two conflicting approaches? For example, the West has been quick to support Kyiv in the Ukraine conflict, but Palestine has been completely ignored.
