The Palestinian issue is rooted in the veins of Yemeni children; our struggle is not an adventure.

PNN – The special cultural representative of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement said: The Palestinian issue has long been rooted in the veins of all Yemeni children, and they cannot give it up until Palestine is liberated from the clutches of all occupiers.

Sayyid Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi launched the “Al-Masirah al-Quraniya” uprising with the slogan “Sarkha” at the beginning of 2001, coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan. This uprising was inspired by the statement of Imam Khomeini (may Allah have mercy on him) who called on the nation to confront the enemies and support the Palestinian cause.

Abstaining from the enemies of God is the most important principle of the “Al-Masirah Al-Quraniyah” movement, the roots of which can be seen in the verse: O you, who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. And whoever among you takes them as allies, then indeed he is one of them.

The spirit of seeking acquittal from the enemies of God, especially Jews and Christians, goes back to the culture of the Yemeni people; a people in whom the culture of jihad is deeply rooted, and the closer they get to confronting the greater tyrant, America and the Zionist regime, the more eager they become to fight and be martyred.

The desire for jihad in the way of God and a firm belief that America and the Zionist regime are enemies are a common belief among the Yemeni people, and the closer they get to fighting the Jews and Christians, the more eager they are to confront them.

In this regard, a discussion was held with Ahmed al-Imam, the special cultural representative of Ansarullah Yemen, the details of which are given below:

Why the Janabiyah (Yemeni dagger) is considered a genuine heritage for Yemenis and why are they proud of it? To which class of society does this dagger belong most? The military? The rich or the poor?

The janabiyyah is part of Yemeni culture and dates back to ancient times. Some narrations say that the janabiyyah has existed since 3,000 years ago, that is, before the birth of Jesus Christ. All Yemenis are allowed to wear the janabiyyah, and the Yemenis are known for their janabiyyah. For example, after Islam, the junabiyyah is considered part of the Yemeni weaponry. A weapon that indicates that they are armed. Some Yemeni tribes do not limit themselves to the junabiyyah alone, but also carry automatic weapons, rifles, and advanced weapons. In general, the janabiyyah belongs to all Yemeni people, meaning the janabiyyah is not exclusive to sheikhs or tribes or the army, all Yemeni people are allowed to wear the janabiyyah as part of Yemeni culture.

The enemy media is trying to portray the uprising of the Yemeni people on September 21 as a coup, not a revolution. In your opinion, is this uprising of the Yemeni people a coup or a revolution?

The enemy media is known for spreading suspicion and rumors. It is important to look at the uprising of the Yemeni people from the eyes of the Yemeni people: was it a revolution or a coup? As one of the children of the Yemeni people, I say that the uprising of the Yemeni people on September 21 is not a coup, but a popular revolution against oppression, corruption, and crime. September 21 was a real revolution that fulfilled our demands as the people of Yemen, and we saw its fruits. After its popular revolution, Yemen emerged from the hegemony and control of America and Saudi Arabia. So, what the enemy and Saudi media say about our revolution does not matter to us; it does not matter how they classify it or what they call it. We, as the Yemeni people, believe that September 21 is a revolution that fulfilled our demands and we saw its fruits with our own eyes. The Yemeni people’s revolution is a revolution that originated from the hearts of the people and has been witnessed by all the children of the Yemeni people. On Monday, 2021, at the beginning of the Yemeni revolution, all the people took to the streets in Sanaa to reduce pressure and oppose the division of Yemen. The Yemeni revolution met the demands of the Yemeni people and we saw its fruits.

When did Ansarئllah begin to emerge and manifest itself in Yemeni society? What was the position of this movement from the beginning of its formation? Where was their slogan first heard and under whose leadership?

In general, the people of Yemen have a religious identity; the people of Yemen have responded to the call of God Almighty from the very beginning, since the time of their faith at the hands of Imam Ali (AS).

After false culture and false beliefs spread in Yemen, Sayyid al-Qa’id, Sayyid Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi, emerged as a leader who returned us to the Quranic movement and path derived from the life of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH). Sayyid Shahid Qa’id did not bring anything new! Rather, he revived what existed in the religious culture of us Yemenis. Sayyid Qa’id said: We do not present anything other than what already exists. For example, when the American enemy began implementing its colonial plan to target the Ummah at the beginning of the new millennium, targeting the towers of New York was the beginning of the spark of the Quranic movement. The Quranic path began to move when America was trying to mislead the nation in Afghanistan and lead it towards deviation.

The enemy media is using the term Ansarullah less. They are trying to use the Houthis more. What is the reason for this action?

The title Houthi originates from our leader, Mr. Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the martyr Sayyid Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi, in the Imran region of Yemen. By using this term, they want to limit the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement to a specific region of Yemen. In fact, using the title Ansar Allah is more correct because the Ansarullah movement is a Quranic and national movement.

The enemy accuses Iran of interfering in Yemeni affairs. Is Iran interfering in Yemeni affairs or is it just inspired by the Iranian revolution?

Our relationship with our brothers in Iran, with the Iranian people, and with the Iranian government is based on faith. There is nothing to indicate that we Yemenis and our brothers in Iran do not believe in this matter, and that this matter is far from the truth. What exists in Yemen is a revolution carried out by the Yemeni people. There are no Iranian martyrs in the Yemeni popular revolution. Has the Iranian army sent troops to Yemen? No, there is no such thing. Those who say that we follow Iran and that this country interferes in our affairs are in fact followers of Saudi Arabia, America and the Emirates; those who brought the invader to Yemen. The northern areas, the free areas, the areas that are not occupied, only include the Yemeni people. The occupied areas are full of mercenaries from Saudi Arabia and foreign followers. The Quranic movement of the Yemeni people’s revolution is completely Yemeni and their decision has been completely Yemeni, and our interaction with the Iranian people and the brothers in Iran has always been based on brotherhood of faith. The Leader has confirmed this and said that we have nothing to be ashamed of. We are ready to treat all Muslims on the basis of brotherhood of faith and trust. Gaza is a witness to our faith and defense of our faith. All the enemy’s claims are fallacies.

What plans does the Ansarullah movement have to promote a “resilient lifestyle” among the young generation of Yemen and the Islamic world?

The Quran is full of principles, principles, values, and ethics that we seek to realize among the nation and in society. The Quranic topics and issues are so comprehensive that all Muslims and all segments of the Islamic society, especially the youth, can benefit from it. Educating the youth in Yemen is a priority.

Soft war targets the youth and exposes them to false and false culture, which is why we try to familiarize the youth with the Quran so that they do not become young people who become tools in the hands of Jews and Christians. We try to protect these young people so that they become instilled with Quranic ethics and present the Quranic model in practice, whether political, media or military.

Tell us about the status of women in Yemen.

Women are the foundation of God’s creation, the creation of humanity and the family. The role of women in Islam is very great and immense, and in the Holy Quran, God Almighty has given great examples of women, such as Hajar (AS) or Pharaoh’s wife or Hazrat Fatima Zahra (SA) or Khadijah (AS). Therefore, the role of women in Islam in general is an important one.

In Yemen, we strive to remind our women of the Quranic role models for women and teach them that Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH) should be their role model in their activities, taking care of the home, encouraging their spouses to follow the path of God, and enjoining good and forbidding evil for the sake of God, Glory be to Him, and for the believers, both men and women.

Women have many activities, for example, most of their activities are dedicated to raising the next generation and the family. Yemenis believe that women are essentially the support of men, not their replacements, and they also participate in other administrative tasks.

How do you evaluate the role of Iranian media in reflecting the truth about the Yemeni war? What criticisms or suggestions do you have in this regard?

Iran is a leader in this field and I think it has been aware of the events in Yemen from the very beginning, since the beginning of the events; such as the Al-Alam network, which we have been hearing and seeing for a long time because of its Arabic language. Iran’s fraternal support for Yemen is advanced in terms of media support, but it has not reached the desired level.

We need to strengthen media relations; from television and media channels to social networks. There should be a lot of cooperation between Yemen and Iran. As for cinema, the Iranian brothers in cinema are very advanced, meaning that globally, Iran is one of the advanced countries in the field of film and cinema production.

We are ready to cooperate. For example, let’s set up several meetings with the relevant institutions. Let’s specify what you want to be allocated to you. For example, we are ready to provide materials. We can also establish relations between the Iranian and Yemeni media. For example, exchanging visits is not an obstacle. We are ready to coordinate for exchanging visits. In terms of media, let’s specify who will go from here to Yemen and from Yemen to here.
