PNN – “Abdul Bari Atwan,” an analyst of the Arab world, analyzed the formation of the “Syrian Salvation Front” by the Syrian opposition and announced their imminent coming to power, which is intended to challenge the plans of the United States and the Zionist regime.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Rai al-Youm, Atwan wrote: A few days ago, 200 prominent Syrian figures announced the establishment of the Syrian Salvation Front with the aim of uniting the efforts of the opposition, restoring Sharia law and establishing democracy in the country, and preserving its territorial integrity.

This announcement of presence coincided with a direct and public meeting in Paris between a delegation headed by Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani and an Israeli delegation headed by Ron Dermer, the regime’s Minister of Strategic Affairs.

He added: We expected that the statement of the new opposition front for the salvation of Syria, headed by Ayman al-Asfahri, a Syrian billionaire living in London, whose name was raised after the fall of the previous regime as a player in the new Syria and for the position of prime minister, given his economic and political experience, would include the following points:

First, condemnation of normalization meetings between the new Syrian regime and the occupying regime, because this is a betrayal of the Arab and Islamic world and Syria’s withdrawal from the resistance against the occupiers.

Second, condemn Israel’s attacks on Syria, emphasize the Syrian identity of the Golan Heights, and demand its full retake through diplomatic or military means, especially since these attacks reached the point where they targeted the presidential palace and the headquarters of the Syrian army and defense ministry.

Third, exposing the American project of fueling sectarian and religious issues, as well as the Israeli policy of dividing Syria.

Fourth, calling for national reconciliation and drafting a new constitution based on equality among all Syrians, regardless of their religion and race, protecting the lives of Syrians, the principle of separation of powers, limiting the president’s powers, and holding transparent presidential and parliamentary elections.

The analyst stated: We are surprised by the silence of Syrian opposition groups, personalities, and leaders regarding the new Syrian regime’s move toward normalization with the occupiers.

Atwan wrote: America deceived most of the opposition groups, stopped supporting them, and did not allow any of them into the new Syrian regime, choosing the extremist Tahrir al-Sham and presenting Syria to its leaders and allies. Interestingly, none of these marginalized opposition groups, some of which even have their own television channels, uttered a single word against America.

More than 200 prominent Syrian figures recently announced the establishment of the country’s Salvation Front with the aim of uniting different currents and building a democratic country.
