6 months ago, it was more like a joke to think that a people suffering from famine and under shelling, could confront the large and numerous and wealthy European and American media, all of whom support the Zionist regime and whose red line is criticism of Tel Aviv.
What happened that the European and American media and authorities are now criticizing Tel Aviv? The same people who in all these years have dismissed any criticism of Israel with the label of “anti-Semitism”, why did they agree to a ceasefire without insisting on the destruction of the Palestinian resistance movement (Hamas)?
Certainly, the answer to this question is not “diplomacy”, because during the life of the Israeli regime, diplomacy has never gone beyond its narrow framework. The reason lies in a subtle point that the Supreme Leader of the Revolution emphasized in his meeting with Ismail Haniyeh: Propaganda and media actions of the resistance. Since the first days of the Zionist attacks on Gaza, which took place in response to the Al-Aqsa storm, the same protocol was implemented among the mostly western media to cover the events of this category. According to this style sheet, certain phrases were frequently included in the news and quotes were adjusted indirectly with the aim of changing the content of the message.
Phrases such as “Hamas terrorist group”, “Israel’s defensive operations after Hamas’ deadly attacks”, “Israel’s retaliatory attack against Hamas terrorist group”, “Israeli war and Hamas extremist group” were mentioned many times in every news. Besides that, the term “hostage” for Israeli prisoners and the term “prisoner” or “security prisoner” for Palestinian prisoners were repeatedly used together.
Although the dominant policy of the European authorities is to support the Zionist regime, if they were critical in some cases, their statements were quoted indirectly. For example, where it was written in the citation of the European Union foreign policy official: Josep Borrell accused Israel of “using people’s hunger as a weapon.”

But could this wide range of news writing about the Gaza war and the high volume of news produced by the Western media shape the world’s public opinion and align it with the Zionist regime and oppose Hamas and the Palestinians? Who was the competitor of these media with extensive budget, power and facilities?
It seems that in confronting these limitations and one-sided narratives, the phenomenon of “citizen reporter” has expanded in this field. This can be seen from the high volume of photos and images of Gaza on social networks. In a situation where the Israeli regime is blocking the way of sending news from Gaza and has cut off the Internet many times, the will of the people of Gaza has opened a different way of informing.
A new chapter in information
If after 6 months, despite Israel’s insistence on continuing the massacre of Palestinians, the Security Council approves a resolution for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza; The reason should be sought above all in the behavior of the people of Gaza. They opened their way to inform under the shelling and under the pressure of famine and western propaganda.
Photographers who reported the destruction of their homes and the martyrdom of their loved ones, and an hour later took pictures of the wounded and displaced persons and funeral ceremonies with cameras or mobile phones, and as a result, they started a trend that obsoleted the usual way of western media and opened a new chapter in information.
The Palestinian people were supposed to hear the message of the western media, but in reality the message of the Palestinians reached the people of Europe and America and their pressure and their criticism of the western statesmen led to criticism of Israel’s performance and support for the ceasefire.
Hamas’s intelligent field management
But with all the heavy price that Palestinian journalists and citizen journalists pay in documenting the war and clarifying the facts so that the world understands what crimes are happening in Gaza, the role of Hamas’s intelligent field management should not be neglected.
