PNN – The Zionist regime sees its interests in disarming the resistance, especially in Lebanon, while its ultimate goal is to expand its dominance over all countries in the region.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, in an article, examined the goals behind the Lebanese resistance’s disarmament plan and its benefits for the Zionist project in the region, and in this regard, it addressed various aspects of the Zionist regime’s political crimes against the nations of the region.
The article states that the purpose of the project called “political genocide” (policide) is the destruction of a group, not based on its identity, as the term “genocide” implies, but on the basis of that group’s political positions. This concept has been extended to explain political interpretations even in cases involving genocide based on ethnic or religious identity.

Al-Akhbar adds that the Zionist regime is a comprehensive criminal in studies related to genocide; in addition to ethnic cleansing, this regime uses all other patterns of genocide in line with its colonial expansion, including:
- Domicide, which involves the systematic destruction of homes with the aim of destroying spatial belonging and the demographic environment and facilitating the displacement and forced migration of people. Examples of this policy are clearly evident in the developments in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
- Urbicide, which means the destruction of cities and urban communities; and before the vivid example of Gaza, the adoption of this model was observed in the 2006 Lebanon War, which Gadi Eisenkot, the then Israeli Minister of War, called the “Dahiya Doctrine.” This doctrine differs from the “soft violence” referred to by Zionist scholar Eyal Weizman, because in the Dahiya doctrine, the engineering of violence based on shock, rapid destruction, and mass displacement is one of the most dangerous uses of urban genocide.
After October 7, the Zionist regime began its aggressive policy towards various regions such as Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria. This policy is expanding from the genocide of Gaza to an all-out aggression against the region to “political genocide.”
The article adds that anyone who ignores the possible dangers of Israeli expansionism in the geography of Lebanon and Syria and does not consider the Zionist aggressions and points of influence as a prelude to the realization of these ambitions is either politically stupid or complicit in Israeli aggressions.
In his book “Political Genocide” (2003), Baruch Kimerling makes a connection between spatial politics and “political genocide” and believes that “political genocide” is a systematic process of weakening the ability of a nation through the destruction of its political institutions, leadership, economy, and social structure, and ultimately the complete abolition of its political identity.
The new point is that the Zionist regime’s policy towards the Palestinians will extend to the entire region; a policy based on the demand for “disarmament.” Therefore, this policy will be pursued in a similar manner in Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, and the West Bank.
Al-Akhbar concludes by emphasizing that the first obstacle to this all-encompassing Zionist plan is the organized weapon of resistance that prevents Israel from dominating the region. In these circumstances, our nations have no choice but to confront political genocide in order to repel Israeli aggression and end Zionist “borderization” in the region.
