Three key messages from Hamas’s intelligent response to the US peace plan

PNN – Analysts believe that Hamas’s intelligent response to the US peace plan to end the Gaza war, in addition to demonstrating the Palestinian movement’s readiness to embark on a political path, carries three key messages to the international community, the Palestinian people, and the Israeli occupation regime’s cabinet, and could determine the course of future developments in the region.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Al Arabiya Channel wrote in a note about Hamas’ response to the US plan to stop the war in the Gaza Strip: The Hamas movement’s response to the US President’s proposed peace plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip was met with widespread global support. This reaction came at a time when the public atmosphere in the region and the international community is awaiting any effective step to stop the bloodshed and establish stability in Gaza.

Dr. Wael Rabie, an analyst of regional affairs and the Zionist regime, stated in an interview with Al Arabiya: Hamas’s response was very clever, and by accepting the main clause Trump wanted, namely the release of all prisoners and the handover of the bodies, it was able to gain American support. This action led Trump to consider Hamas’ response as a sign of agreement with his plan and to emphasize the continuation of negotiations through mediators.

He added that Hamas sent three key messages in this response; the first message was to the international community, emphasizing its readiness to accept Trump’s peace plan and its tendency to stop the war within the framework of alignment with Arab and Islamic positions.

He said: The second message was to the Palestinian people and emphasizes that the main goal of this position is to end the bloodshed and human suffering.

Rabi continued: But Hamas’ third addressee was Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the occupation regime, and he emphasizes that rejecting this plan could anger public opinion in the occupied territories and reveal his inability to support the prisoners.

The Arab expert also noted that the upcoming phase will likely be accompanied by Hamas’s request for clarification of clauses of the Trump plan, including how Gaza will be governed through a “peace council”, the status of resistance weapons, and a specific timetable for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.

Mehran further warned that the Israeli regime may abuse this partial agreement to gain unilateral benefits and evade its obligations.

The international law expert emphasized that Hamas’ response has outlined a logical framework for achieving a just agreement based on international legitimacy; an approach that strikes a smart balance between humanitarian imperatives and political principles by accepting what will immediately end human suffering and preserve the fundamental rights of Palestinians.

Previously, the Hamas movement, after internal consultations and consultations with Palestinian groups, agreed on Friday night to the general principles of Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza and announced that it was ready to immediately enter into negotiations on the details of implementing the agreement through intermediaries.

After Hamas’ official response was published, US President Donald Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social: Based on the statement Hamas has issued, I believe they are ready for a lasting peace.

On September 29, 2025, the US President unveiled his 20-point plan for a ceasefire in Gaza in a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Although Trump’s 20-point plan presents its goal as ending the war in Gaza and rebuilding the region, opponents at various levels, from Palestinian groups to human rights organizations and even Western analysts, have seriously criticized the plan.
