Tight competition; What do the American voters think about the policies of Trump and Harris?

PNN – New CNN polls in six swing states show a mixed outlook on the upcoming presidential election, highlighting what voters think of Harris and Biden’s policies.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, American CNN reported on Wednesday local time, in nearly all of these states, likely voters are more likely to describe former President Donald Trump than Vice President Kamala Harris and believe Trump has a clear policy plan to solve the country’s problems.

Although the opinion was equal in Wisconsin and Michigan, voters in these key states largely describe Harris’ views and policies as mainstream and Trump as too extreme.

About half of every state (between 46 and 51 percent) say Trump’s views and policies are so extreme that they are a threat to the country, while about 4 in 10 (between 37 and 42 percent) in They have such an opinion about the positions of Harris.

When it comes to focusing on the economy and democracy, an average of 39 percent of likely voters across states chose the economy as their top issue, with support for democracy coming in next at an average of 25 percent, but Harris is now in the middle of trusting the administration.

In current polls, Trump has an average of 8 percentage points higher than Harris on the economy. In this spring’s New York Times/Sinai College polls in the same six states, Trump had a 20 percentage point lead over Biden.

Trump is superior as the more credible candidate to handle immigration; While Harris has more credibility than Biden on addressing abortion and reproductive rights, an average of 27% of women in these six states prefer him on the issue.

As we get closer to the day of the American elections on November 5, more polls and articles are published daily about the election contests of “Kamala Harris”, the vice president and candidate of the Democratic Party, and “Donald Trump”, the former president of the United States. The “Hill” magazine, citing two polls conducted by itself and the polling base “Decision Desk HQ” and “CNN”, announced the close competition between the two US presidential candidates in the key states, known as the “battlefield” states.

According to this poll, Trump and Harris are tied in the states of Georgia, Nevada and Pennsylvania, which are all key states. However, Harris’ lead in Georgia and Nevada is small and within the margin of error of the CNN poll.

On the other hand, Harris is leading with 50% of the votes and a margin of 6% in Wisconsin and with 48% of the votes and a margin of 5% in the state of Michigan. But Trump also defeated his Democratic opponent with a margin of 5% and 49% of votes in Arizona.

In 2020, the current Democratic President of the United States, Joe Biden, was in the lead in the 6 mentioned states, and this led to his victory over Trump, but according to Hill’s report, in the 2024 US presidential election, the two states of Pennsylvania and Georgia will be crucial for each of the candidates. In both states, nearly 15 percent of likely voters told CNN they were likely to change their minds.

On the other hand, after Biden withdrew from the presidential race in July and supported Harris, the US vice president has received increasing support. So, according to the survey conducted by Hill and Decision Desk HQ, he is leading at the national level with a margin of 4% and 49.4% of the total votes.

The poll, conducted by Hill and Decision Desk HQ, shows similar results to the CNN poll in the states of Georgia, Nevada and Pennsylvania. Despite Harris’s lead in all three key states, his margin is within the margin of error of the polls, and the vice president’s lead cannot be definitively declared.

Harris’ biggest strength is in the state of Wisconsin, according to the Hill poll and Decision Desk HQ. He is leading in this state with a clear margin of 3.4%. In Arizona, both candidates are tied, and in Michigan, Harris leads by a margin of 1.6 percentage points.

The CNN poll was conducted from August 23 to 29 with the participation of 682 voters in Arizona, 617 voters in Georgia, 708 voters in Michigan, 626 voters in Nevada, 789 voters in Pennsylvania, 976 voters in Wisconsin.
