Trump and Yemen: An agreement that surprised the Israeli regime

PNN – After Trump’s sudden news of reaching an agreement with Yemen’s Ansarullah, Zionist experts and analysts considered the agreement shocking and a US withdrawal from the war in Yemen.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the sudden agreement between the United States and Yemen’s Ansarullah movement has caused a widespread wave of concern among the Zionists. Israeli officials are terrified that if the US withdraws from fighting Ansar Allah, they will be left alone in the war against the Yemenis. In this regard, Lazer Berman, a political correspondent for the Times of Israel, examined this issue and its consequences in a report, which is mentioned below.

This Zionist journalist wrote regarding the reference to the agreement between America and Ansarullah:

A day after Israel attacked the port cities of Hodeidah and Sanaa, US President Donald Trump dropped his own bombshell. Without coordinating with Israel or other allies, he announced during a White House meeting that the Houthis had agreed to stop attacking shipping lanes in the Red Sea, adding that the US would stop its attacks on the Iranian-backed group.

The Houthis, for their part, announced that they would continue attacks against Israel. To underscore the point, a drone, most likely launched from Yemen, was launched towards Israel on Wednesday morning and was on its way before being intercepted by the air force. If the deal holds, it appears Israel is left alone in the fight against the Houthis.

Dani Citrinovich, a researcher at the Institute for National Security Studies, says: President Trump’s decision to halt attacks on the Houthis effectively leaves Israel alone in the fight against the Yemeni terrorist organization. This is another sign and reminder that the US government acts to advance its own interests, even if those interests do not coincide with those of the Israeli government.

More worryingly, Trump did not even mention the Houthi attacks on Israel. This comes two days after a ballistic missile fired from Yemen hit Ben Gurion Airport, injuring several civilians and causing huge economic damage as most foreign airlines canceled flights to Israel for days, and in some cases, weeks.

Brian Carter, of the American Institute for Public Affairs, says: The artificial separation of the ceasefire between the October 7 war and the Red Sea allows the Houthis to rest, rebuild their weapons, and attack Israel.

He believes: As they apply the lessons learned from the fight against the American fleet and prepare for a new escalation against the United States and its allies, an escalation that could begin at any moment and for no reason. Carter believes that the United States will be forced to fight the Houthis again in the future.

It is unclear exactly what Trump’s two-month bombing campaign, which cost more than $1 billion, has achieved. The US president said the strikes were designed to stop Houthi attacks on shipping, but the Houthis have not claimed any attacks since December 27, 2024, and the last confirmed attack was in November.

The US military has also lost seven Reaper drones, each worth $28 million, since the start of the massive strikes in March. In addition, two F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jets, each worth at least $67 million, were also lost.

Israel’s goals in Yemen are over

Regarding the Zionist regime’s bank targets in Yemen, Laser Berman noted:

If the Houthis continue to fire at Israeli-linked civilian ships and Israel itself, it is unlikely that the Israeli military (IDF) will be able to stop them with airstrikes. It is not even clear whether hundreds of US strikes in recent weeks have led the Yemenis to agree to a ceasefire with Washington.

The United States has been targeting Houthi targets since the Biden administration launched Operation Poseidon’s Bow in January 2024. Carter described the operation as “a series of half-hearted response measures” that “did not have a decisive outcome or cause significant damage to the Houthi military capabilities.”

The latest intensified attacks destroyed Yemeni commanders, ammunition depots, and infrastructure, but even in the face of hundreds of American strikes, they continued to fire at American and Israeli warships.

Yemenis have proven their resilience. As in Afghanistan, Yemen’s mountainous terrain provides a strategic advantage for guerrilla groups against airstrikes. They have learned over the years how to adapt to the array of airstrikes, hiding or moving vital assets underground. It seems that Israel is running out of important targets for attacking Yemen before the Yemenis run out of missiles.

The dangers of this agreement for the Zionist regime

This Zionist journalist finally wrote about the dangers of this agreement for the regime:

The US ceasefire with Yemen poses a clear danger to Israel: Trump surprised Israel with this news and seems to have paid little attention to the implications for Israel’s security. This is a terrifying scenario for Israel, especially while Trump is simultaneously engaged in nuclear negotiations with Iran.

If Israel remains out of the loop, the president could suddenly announce a deal with Iran that leaves its nuclear program intact. Israel could find itself isolated and, unlike the Houthis, would find it unacceptable to take military action against Iran after such a deal with Trump.
