Turkish analyst: Ankara’s sanctions against Israel are hypocritical

sanctions

PNN – The famous Turkish analyst challenged the claim of economic sanctions imposed by Ankara against the Zionist regime by revealing the behind-the-scenes financial relations between two large Turkish state-owned companies and an Israeli company.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, trade between Turkey and the Zionist regime reached 8 billion dollars a year, and the Erdogan government, even 8 months after the historic event of October 7, reluctantly agreed to stop the trade relationship with the regime.

But now, many analysts say, there is no such thing as embargo and in several areas; the economic relationship is still ongoing.

Let’s review the statements of the famous Turkish analyst Deniz Zirak to see how he challenged the claim of economic sanctions imposed by Ankara against the Zionist regime.

Turkey has not sanctioned Israel

As you know and it has been advertised many times in the media close to the ruling party, American-made carbonated drinks are not sold in the large restaurant of the Turkish Parliament. Because everyone knows that these soft drink companies belong to the powerful Jews of Israel, and as a result, the Turkish Parliament has banned the distribution of soft drinks in the dinners and lunches of the people’s representatives, expressing sympathy for the people of Gaza. But we all know that this is only a symbolic act and the reality is something else.

You must also know that American-Israeli soft drinks have not been served on Turkish Airlines flights for a long time, just like what happened in the parliament.

This Turkish state airline has also announced that it has made such a decision in support of Palestine. But unfortunately, this national airline of ours does not behave honestly and I found out on a foreign flight, from Athens to Istanbul, that those American-Israeli carbonated drinks are easily served on international flights.

In other words, our reputable company hypocritically does not take a gesture of support for Palestine and distribute soft drinks on domestic flights, for example from Istanbul to Ankara, but does not have any prohibitions or restrictions on foreign travel!

Let me put it bluntly, these ugly and hypocritical actions are only because the government created by the Justice and Development Party is fueling populist politics in such an ugly way, not based on political-ethical and intellectual principles, but in order to display and chant slogans for its own political interests.

Are the officials of the Justice and Development Party really willing to answer this simple question or not? The question is: if that soft drink is distributed on the Istanbul-Athens flight, it must have been paid for the benefit of Israel, and this is a clear example of violating the sanctions.

When our national airline so simply buys a product for the benefit of Israel’s economy, you cannot support and boycott. Excuse me! But I think you have assumed people are fools that you advertise the embargo only in domestic flights and in a show form, and you do not adhere to any embargo or principles in the case of foreign flights.

Talking about the symbolic embargo… I will give you an example that shows you that the economic embargo on Israel by Turkey is nothing more than a false story and can be considered an open scandal.

I know a big and famous company that was founded in the past by a group of Turkish capitalists and entrepreneurs. Over time, this huge company found an Israeli partner. After some time, the Israeli company took over all the shares of the company and the company completely lost its Turkish identity and became a fully Israeli company. This Israeli company is called “Amiad”.

A company whose head office is located in the Jalil region, north of Haifa, and has branches in countries such as the United States of America, France, Germany, England, Australia, India, China and Mexico. Now let’s take a look at the customers of this Israeli company in Türkiye:

One of them is Turkish State Oil Company (TPAO).

60 tanks of 92 tons in Batman, Adiaman and Sarnak were needed to store crude oil in the subsidiaries of the Turkish company TPAO. Guess where TPAO got these giant tanks? Answer: Of course, it comes from the Israeli company. It is interesting to know that the price of each tank is 33500 dollars. Turkish state-owned company TPAO paid Amiad a total of $2 million (approximately 80 million lira) for the order.

Of course, this large company is not the only Turkish customer of that Israeli giant, and another large Turkish state company, BOTAŞ, also buys from the same Israeli group. Botash needs a system to clean the pipelines. This system is used to clean and control pipelines. Botash ordered 22 of these devices, each priced between $22,000 and $60,000. This entire project was entrusted to the Israelis!

I fully defend Türkiye’s right to boycott Israel and trade with it to protest its crimes against humanity in Gaza. It is really sad and disturbing that Israel and Israeli companies are making money at Türkiye’s expense and their dirty economy is leading to the killing of innocent Palestinian children.

Now I ask you: Is it more effective to ban carbonated drinks on domestic flights of Turkish Airlines or in the restaurant of the Turkish Parliament, or for state-owned companies like Butash and TPO to stop doing business with Israel and Israeli companies?

Remember, this is not just an economic issue. The security aspect of this issue is also very important. Right now, Erdogan’s government is talking about the discovery and extraction of oil in Gabar Mountain in Sarnak province of Türkiye. But it stores the oil extracted there in the tanks of an Israeli company.

Also, PIG (Pipeline Inspection Gauge) devices that pass through Turkish oil and natural gas pipelines are also produced by an Israeli company.
