Turkish analyst: Israel’s strategy is to make Gaza an uninhabitable place

PNN – The goal of the Israeli regime to expel Palestinians from Gaza can create a new humanitarian and security crisis and affect the entire region.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, at the same time as the amount of crimes committed by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip is increasing, many Turkish analysts are commenting on this matter.

Some analysts believe that Turkey, along with other Islamic countries, should take serious action to stop the tension and at the same time, take a stand against Israel. But famous commentators such as Taha Ak Yul believe that it is necessary for Turkey to enter this matter at a limited and specific level and to be satisfied only with adopting diplomatic positions.

Ak Yul introduced Benjamin Netanyahu as the “butcher of Gaza” and believes that he repeats Hitler’s behavior from the point of view of political psychology, and issuing an order to attack a hospital is a difficult task that only Hitler and Netanyahu can handle. But other commentators also specifically zoom in on the issue of Gaza and comment on the security aspects and consequences of this issue.

Professor Burhanuddin Doran is one of these people.

Burhanuddin Doran is one of the famous Turkish analysts and a member of the foreign policy and national security advisory board in the Turkish presidential institution. For many years, he managed the think tank for political and social studies of Turkey together with Ebrahim Kalin (the current head of Turkey’s intelligence service), and he is a constant follower of ErdoÄŸan’s foreign trips.

In the following article, Doran specifically addressed the issue of Gaza and answered the question why Gaza is so important to the Zionist regime.

De-Palestinian policy

The Zionist regime’s request to the United Nations for the movement of 1.1 million Palestinians to southern Gaza showed signs of a dangerous strategy. Although the United Nations declared that such a thing was impossible in the time frame set by Israel and would bring devastating humanitarian problems, Israel’s subsequent actions showed that it was pursuing dangerous and inhumane goals.

The massive bombing of houses in Gaza and the heavy attack on civilians show that the Zionist regime intends to prepare the conditions for a massive military operation with tactics of intimidation and spreading violence.

What is called by Israel as the transfer of the people of Gaza to the southern part of Bariqeh, is actually the expulsion of the Palestinians!

Using the term transfer cannot be a cover for this inhuman request and it is clear that Israel seeks to expel Palestinians from Gaza and create new crises.

The long-term blockade of Gaza has put the people in this region in very difficult conditions and they have lived in the worst conditions for 16 years. But Israel is not satisfied with this and the possibility of expelling all Palestinians from Gaza is a prelude to a new humanitarian and security crisis. It is clear that such an incident will put Egypt in a very difficult situation.

If this happens, we should expect humanitarian disasters and new extremism in the entire region. As you know, the US invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq and humanitarian demonstrations in Syria led to the birth or strengthening of many radical organizations.

Israel wants Palestinians not to stay in Gaza. However, it is not expected that the majority of Palestinians, who have faced occupation and exile for the past 75 years, will stop resisting and leave Gaza.

A news report in Bloomberg summarized the plight of the Palestinians in Gaza: “The vast majority of people living in Gaza are refugees from towns and villages that are currently located in Israel and the West Bank. They fear that if they leave this last piece of the homeland, they will not be able to return or will not be allowed to return.”

It is a tragedy that will be an embarrassment to the international community, as Palestinians in Gaza face the difficult choices of “death under the bomb, or exile and displacement.”

Therefore, we must understand the situation of the people of Gaza and the countries that talk about the “right to defend Israel” should look at the situation a little more realistically and conduct more effective diplomacy regarding the human rights of the Palestinians.

Especially America, European Union, England and Russia can play an effective role and understand the plight of the people of Gaza. In this critical situation, the Biden administration, which has directed two aircraft carriers to the region, must take into account the warnings of the United Nations and prevent the death of civilians and the complete destruction of Gaza.

Blindly and irrationally supporting Israel’s security should not mean increasing violence or condoning the deportation and killing of the oppressed people of Gaza.

It should not be forgotten that the cost of killing Israeli civilians will be borne by America in particular and the West in general. Deporting Palestinians from Gaza will not solve Israel’s security problems, but will increase tensions.

In the end, it is necessary to point out that many Turkish political analysts and prominent experts of the country’s universities in the field of international relations have correctly viewed the recent events in support of the Palestinian fighters. However, the official government policy of the Justice and Development Party led by Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan is to deal with this issue in a pragmatic manner, and so far there have been no serious signs of taking critical positions against Israel in Ankara.
