PNN – The Israeli army plans to start the third phase of the war, as it says, by withdrawing a large part of the military from Gaza.
According to the report of the International group of Pakistan News Network, 78 days have passed since the war in Gaza and there are indications that the Israeli army intends to withdraw a significant part of its troops from Gaza. And as Kan Network reported, the Israeli military is preparing to begin the “third phase” of the war in the Gaza Strip in the next few weeks, which will involve the end of a large percentage of ground movements in Gaza.
White House National Security Adviser John Kirby also said on Thursday evening that the Israeli authorities have informed Washington that they intend to enter a new phase in the war. According to Israel’s information to the United States, the intensity of the attacks will decrease in this phase.
On Thursday last week, Israeli news sources announced that the Golani brigade – the infantry brigade of the Israeli army – has decided to withdraw from this area. Although some Israeli media have claimed that the goal of the withdrawal of the Golani brigade is to reorganize the forces and take a short-term rest, at least this issue shows that the Israeli army’s infantry is in dire need of reconstruction and healing.
Haaretz newspaper also wrote that the Israeli army is about to enter the “third stage” of the war and part of the reserve forces are going to leave Gaza; Also, this plan includes the creation of a buffer zone in the Gaza Strip. According to this newspaper, the command centers of the Israeli army will prepare for big changes with the beginning of the new year (in a week).
Israeli military sources have told the media of this regime that in the third stage, efforts will be made to carry out detailed attacks to assassinate the resistance leaders by going through extensive and intense bombardment, and in this stage, intelligence and reconnaissance actions will play a prominent role.
Therefore, it is clear that a serious deadlock has occurred in the military plans of the Israeli army and there is no possibility of real control over the occupied residential areas; In addition, the economic pressures are increasing day by day, and on the other hand, the demands and opinions of the Israeli society and also other western countries are not the same as in the early days of the war.
But regarding the establishment of the buffer zone, as reported by Zionist circles, the occupiers intend to allocate a zone of one to two kilometers from the extreme northwest of Gaza on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to the south of Gaza. This issue can be very expensive for the people of Gaza, because this area is like the food basket of Gaza, and its occupation by Israel means that the people of Gaza will not be able to access their needs without Israel’s permission.

This area enters residential areas at a depth of 200-300 meters, the same areas that Israel has completely bombarded and destroyed in order to advance its plan to create a buffer zone in the third stage.
In the meantime, there is no clear horizon for negotiations, Israel wants the release of prisoners in exchange for a [temporary] ceasefire, and in front of the Hamas resistance movement, it emphasizes the necessity of stopping the war before any negotiations. In this regard, it should be said that the Israeli prisoners of war is the most important lever in the hands of Hamas and the resistance forces in Gaza.
On the other hand, the occupiers have announced that their only leverage for the release of their prisoners is to intensify their attacks and force Hamas to withdraw and accept the conditions, an issue that has been repeatedly blamed on Israeli officials, including Netanyahu and Gallant. But now talking about the third stage and the reduction of forces and the reduction of bombing clearly shows that the previous plan (maximum bombing to bring Hamas to its knees) has failed.
While Israel is talking about entering the third stage, during the extensive ground operation (second stage), a number of Israeli prisoners were killed in the fire of internal forces, which caused a lot of noise.
Another point is that the third phase should be called a “failed plan” because if the occupying army can stabilize its position and create a buffer zone. However, it will not have the ability to permanently stabilize and create security and stability for its troops, and it will have to wait for the targets of resistance attacks and finally withdraw from Gaza unilaterally like in 2005.
Another important issue is that during the past few days, the Israeli media have talked several times about the disobedience of the soldiers in some areas of Gaza, including the “Al-Shajaiyya” area, in such a way that a number of Israeli soldiers have refused to follow orders to enter the war; In this situation, the Israeli army is trying to enter the third stage with a dignified gesture and as a victor, and send many of its soldiers’ home.
Therefore, the occupying army intends to end the extensive ground operations in Gaza, which has faced many obstacles. The Israeli military never had an idea of an urban war of this scale, 57 days have passed since the ground entry into Gaza. According to the statistics of the Israeli army, 472 soldiers of this regime have been killed so far, although Tel Aviv announces its casualty figures with wide considerations and drop by drop; Thousands of soldiers were injured and many suffered mental and emotional injuries.
A significant part of the Israeli army is made up of reservists, soldiers who have once been forced to enter the urban war in Gaza, a war that is terrifying even for the most elite forces.
