Why America not accepting the verdict of the Hague Court on Netanyahu?

Why does America not accept the verdict of the Hague Court on Netanyahu?

The International Criminal Court is the first permanent court in the world to deal with the crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and crimes of aggression, which is headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands; An effective institution that America always accepts or rejects its rulings by calculating profit and loss.

The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court on Monday, May 20 submitted a request to issue an arrest warrant for the officials of the Zionist regime. Now, a panel of judges of the International Criminal Court will review Karim Khan’s request to issue an arrest warrant.

In this statement issued after nearly eight months of war and crimes against the Gaza Strip, Karim Khan announced that this court is seeking to issue an arrest warrant for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel’s War Minister Yoav Galant.

In an interview with CNN, the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court announced the charges against Netanyahu and Gallant of killing, causing starvation as a method of war, preventing humanitarian aid from reaching the Gaza Strip, and deliberately targeting civilians.

Biden’s hand on Karim Khan’s chest in support of Netanyahu

Although Dehnkeji Netanyahu was not far from the decision of the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court and the prime minister of the Zionist regime mockingly emphasized that “he will travel all over the world despite this decision”, but the strongest reactions came from the United States. Because this is the first time that the International Criminal Court has targeted the president of one of America’s closest allies.

At the same time as this incident, “Anthony Blinken”, the US Secretary of State, called the decision of the prosecutor of the Hague Court to issue an arrest warrant for the leaders of the Zionist regime “shameful” and rejected the jurisdiction of the court.

Previously, US President Joe Biden also called the request of the International Criminal Court prosecutor to issue an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and Gallant as “cruel” and emphasized: “We will always stand by Israel against threats to its security.”

In parallel with these positions, we are witnessing the American Congress’s disobedience to the decision of the Attorney General of the Hague Tribunal, and “Mike Johnson”, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of this country, has announced that we will soon host the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime in the Congress session.

At the same time as Congress invited the Prime Minister of the occupying and criminal regime, Johnson and some representatives in response to the decision of the International Criminal Court demanded the imposition of US sanctions against this court; This is not a new issue, and in 2020, the United States sanctioned a prosecutor of this court.

Of course, it is not difficult to understand why the reaction of the American authorities to Netanyahu’s arrest is so strong. Even before the decision of the Prosecutor General of the International Criminal Court to arrest Netanyahu, they were terrified because of the announcement by the authorities of three European countries, Ireland, Spain and Norway, to recognize the Palestinian state.

The reason for this American panic can be clearly found in the statements of “Jake Sullivan”, the National Security Adviser of the White House. A few days ago, “The Guardian” wrote: In the White House press conference, Sullivan said in response to reporters’ questions that he was worried about Israel’s political isolation even among countries that traditionally support this regime.

America’s double standard in the face of the Hague Tribunal

In all its governments, America has turned its back on international organizations and international rules and laws in support of the Zionist regime, which includes the withdrawal of Trump’s America from the United Nations Human Rights Council.

This country claiming human rights, which has used its right of veto 50 times to support the Zionist regime, continued this support during the Biden administration and at the same time as the genocide of the Zionists in the Gaza Strip. By vetoing four resolutions, Biden’s America has given Tel Aviv the green light to continue the genocide; Resolutions that resulted in more than 35,000 martyrs and 80,000 wounded in this geographical area during the last eight months.

Now, the double standard has been extended from the Human Rights Council and the United Nations Security Council to the International Criminal Court. In a news conference with his Kenyan counterpart William Ruto at the White House, Biden said that “we have made our position clear on the International Criminal Court. “It’s very simple, we don’t recognize their competence.”

Biden’s emphasis on the non-recognition of the Hague International Criminal Court has been made while recently more than 100 American civil and human rights groups in a letter to the President of the United States asked him to support the court and ignore the requests of some American lawmakers to boycott this court. take

The letter states: Following US lawmakers who call for sanctions against the International Criminal Court will seriously harm the interests of all victims worldwide and the ability of the United States government to defend human rights and justice, which are among your government’s priorities.

This double standard and America’s instrumental use of the International Criminal Court becomes more obvious when we look at Biden’s positions recently regarding the verdict of this court for Russia and its president.

Why does America not accept the verdict of the Hague Court on Netanyahu?

In March 1401, the International Criminal Court accused Russia of committing war crimes in Ukraine and issued an arrest warrant for the President of Russia. Also, this court separately issued an arrest warrant for Maria Alekseevna, the Commissioner for Children’s Rights of the Russian Federation, on similar charges.

At that time, the decision to arrest the leaders of the Kremlin was welcomed by Biden, and by stating that the Russian president “clearly” committed war crimes, he emphasized that the decision of the International Criminal Court to issue a warrant for Putin’s arrest is “justified”.

This policy of one roof and two airs of Biden has caused the Russian ambassador in Washington, Anatoly Antonov, to describe the American policy in dealing with the International Criminal Court as “dual” and “discriminatory” and to say: This is another example of double standards. It is the hypocrisy and hypocrisy of the Americans. Washington denies the legitimacy of the court and threatens this organization with sanctions when it affects the interests of the United States and its allies.
