PNN – The media of the region, while echoing the words of the leader of the Islamic revolution of Iran, highlighted that part of his speech in which they called for a large presence at the polls “to make the lovers of the revolution happy and to frustrate the enemies”.
According to the International group of Pakistan News Network, the elections of the 12th session of the Islamic Council and the 6th session of the Assembly of Leadership Experts, which began at 8:00 am today in around 60,000 polling stations across the country, received widespread coverage in the world’s media, including regional media.
Qatar’s Al Jazeera network announced in its report in this regard that Polling stations in Iran opened their doors today Friday to the participants in the elections of the Islamic Council and the Assembly of Leadership Experts. More than 61 million people in about 60,000 polling stations can go to the polls to elect members of the Islamic Council and the Council of Leadership Experts.
Al-Ahed Network of Iraq, reflecting the news of the election of the Islamic Council and the Assembly of Experts in our country, pointed to the words of the supreme leader of the revolution and announced that Ayatollah Khamenei cast his vote in the 12th session of the Islamic Council and the 6th session of the Assembly of Leadership Experts in Imam Khomeini’s Hosseiniyeh.
This Iraqi channel reported: After that, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said in a speech: I advise our dear people to surpass each other in good deeds, and the Qur’an has told us “Fastabqwa al-Khairat”. I also recommend that you vote as many votes as you need in each constituency, no less and no more.
Ahed Network also pointed to another part of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and announced that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said: The world is watching these elections and friends and enemies are watching these elections and the eyes of the world are on Iran to see what you are doing in these elections and what will be the result. I hope to make our friends happy and disappoint our enemies.
The website of Al-Diyar Lebanese newspaper was one of the other Arab media that covered the elections in our country and wrote that Polling centers in Iran were opened to voters in the 12th election cycle of the Islamic Council and the 6th election cycle of the Assembly of Leadership Experts. According to the report of the Iranian Ministry of Interior, the number of eligible voters in this period reaches 61,172,298. 15 thousand and 200 people have been candidates for the elections of the Islamic Council and 144 candidates for the Assembly of Leadership Experts.
Referring to the structure of the Islamic Council and the Assembly of Leadership Experts of our country, Al-Manar Network of Lebanon prepared a report on the start of voting throughout Iran and announced that Polling centers in Iran are ready to welcome voters from this morning.
Russia Elium network also announced that according to the official Iranian TV, the 12th election cycle of the Islamic Council and the 6th cycle of the Assembly of Leadership Experts has started this Friday morning. More than 61 million people are eligible to vote this term.

The holding of the elections of the Islamic Council and the large participation of the people of our country in this important event has been reflected in the Anatolian news agency of Turkey and this media published a report on its holding.
Qatar’s official news agency (Qena) also published a report on the 12th round of the Islamic Council elections along with statistics on the number of candidates and those eligible to vote, and in reference to the competitive nature of this event, wrote: About 15,000 candidates are competing for 290 parliamentary seats.
In a report on the elections of the Islamic Council and the Assembly of Experts, Al-Masira Network in Yemen announced that 15,000 candidates are competing for 290 parliamentary seats.
The American CNN channel also wrote in a report that from the first hours of today, the voting areas in the elections of the Islamic Council and the Assembly of Experts were opened to voters and the supreme leader of Iran cast his vote in the first hour of voting.
A few minutes ago, in another report from Iran, Al-Ahed Network of Iraq mentioned the extension of the voting time several times and considered it to be a sign of the wide acceptance of the Iranian people and added that the Iranian authorities have extended the voting time for the third time.
The reporter of this Iraqi channel added that the participation in the elections was beyond the level of the predictions of the election committees.
He announced that the participation rate in the elections reached 48% based on what he heard from responsible sources.
