China-Pakistan agreement to create a safe environment for cooperation and to ensure the security of Chinese citizens and projects

Li Qiang began his four-day visit to Pakistan on Monday. This is the first visit by a Chinese prime minister to Pakistan in 11 years, which came days after a suicide attack in Karachi. 2 Chinese engineers were killed in this attack. This was the second attack on Chinese engineers this year.

Li Qiang’s visit to Pakistan coincided with the meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization officials in this country and strict security measures have been implemented in Pakistan.

China has invested billions of dollars in the construction of infrastructure projects in Pakistan in the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative in recent years.
