Oman’s Navy Commander Rear Admiral Saif Al Rahbi meets Pakistan’s Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf.

PNN: In Islamabad, Commander Royal Navy of Oman Rear Admiral Saif Bin Nasser Bin Mohsin Al Rahbi met Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf. Discussions centered on issues of mutual interest, regional maritime security, and strengthening bilateral naval collaboration.

During the meeting, the Omani naval commander praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Navy and acknowledged its consistent role in promoting maritime security and stability in the region.

Following the talks, Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Rear Admiral Saif Bin Nasser signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at sharing white shipping information. The agreement sets out guidelines and procedures to enhance information exchange and improve mutual maritime domain awareness.

Pakistan and Oman share common maritime boundaries and enjoy close geographical proximity. Their bilateral relationship spans a wide range of areas, including economic cooperation, people-to-people exchanges, and strong defence ties.

The two navies maintain deep professional relations, reflected through training programmes, bilateral naval drills, and active participation in multilateral maritime exercises.
