PNN: Adviser to the Finance Minister Khurram Schehzad has said that global investors are showing strong confidence in Pakistan, highlighting a record level of participation in a recent virtual investor roadshow.
In a post on his X account, Schehzad said the virtual investor roadshow arranged by Standard Chartered Bank in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and Revenue marked a historic and unprecedented level of engagement with Pakistan’s investment narrative.
He noted that 225 investors participated in the session, making it one of the largest, most diverse and most institutionally weighted investor interactions Pakistan has witnessed in recent years. He added that it was the first time such a broad group of real-money global investors engaged together in a single curated forum at this scale.
The roadshow was led by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and his team, who presented Pakistan’s investment outlook centered on macroeconomic stability, structural reforms, external validation and an improving economic trajectory. The team also shared forward guidance on external market funding plans.
According to Schehzad, the participants included foreign institutional investors, global asset managers, pension funds, insurance firms, sovereign-linked entities, corporates and multilateral institutions, indicating long-term capital interest rather than speculative activity.
He said the strong turnout reflects growing international confidence in Pakistan’s reform path and macroeconomic direction.
